Hi bros! how y'all doing?

I am put in a position right now where I have to choose between two things and I am lost and I would appreciate your advises/opinions.

So, I have been working in this company for one year now (Digital Marketing field), a great salary and I work from home only, I am learning many things, but at the end of the day it's a freelance job position, as a conclusion I am comfortable now.

Yesterday I had a very attractive job offer for a big company that will start in my country and I have been selected as a Business Developer, it's a billion dollar company, however, it will be just a trial, like a 3 months contract to see if the company will work in my country or not. If it works, I will continue with them and recruit more people and make it big. If it doesn't, bye bye I will end up with nothing.

I am very lost between staying where I'm at or take the chance of this new opportunity!

What do you think bros?

It might be a long shot. But what about trying to bullshit the company you are at now. Tell them you need to take a few months off for personal/health reasons.

Then just take the trial job and see how it goes. If it works out, then quit and stick with the new job. If not, you go back to your old job.

If not, I would roll the dice and see how it goes with the trial. You are a pretty much freelance right now. So if It doesn't work out. You can just start working for yourself doing freelance work.

Highly doubt that a big company opens on a new country just to test it for 3 months (they will take atleast one year)

Talk with them and see the proposal in detail should be one year at min

Depends on, if the risk is worth it or not. If the new company is paying way lot of money then freelancing then its worth considering a new offer.

Take the chance of the new opportunity because even if they shut down after 3 months, you got 1.3 years experience in your field. You can apply for other jobs with that amount of solid work ex.

To live is to risk it all, great success requires great risk. If you won't take risks you aren't truly living.

But if others depend upon you, your responsibility to them outweighs all other concerns.

hard decision here! In my case I wouldn't take a risk in this pandemic times but if you have enough savings so maybe it can be better to give it a try.

First of all, are you happy in your existing job? And is there possibility for improvement of your career in that job? That should answer whether you want to move on or not (irrespective of the new opportunity specifics).

Second, how sturdy is the new offer? Is it definitely legit? Do you personally think the idea will succeed? Also, why not speak to them and try to broker a better deal; as you are taking on part of the risk for them, ask for more money and a better deal - try to make it so that even if it fails after 3 months, thedeal is worth 6 or 9 months of what you earn currently - and tell yourself that if you don’t get that deal, you won’t take it.

If you have other, sufficient enough funds to fall back on then go for it if the jump in salary is significant enough to justify it. Otherwise probably best to stay put.

You've been with the company a year, like it, great salary.

This huge company is just about to open in your country, so they aren't established and after 6 months might decide it's unviable to remain open in the new marketplace.

Why not apply for a leave ?
Reason - To learn new things - Got internship from a company and they are paying as well.

Your salary will get increase for sure.

In these life you have to step out of your comfort zone(old job) even if you loose your formal job working with the new one for about 3month..you will have gain more knowledge and experience...go for the new one...all the best...new level bro

If you are good at what you do they will find you later when they are set and established deeper in your country.
