Hi, is anyone here doing white/private label supplements (by which I mean vitamin type) and selling them via Amazon FBA?

I have noticed I sell a lot of this type of product through amazon affiliate links and am thinking of now stocking my own.

Is there a reputable company who offer white label supplements, who also handle the label design and shipping to Amazon? Target market will be USA and UK.

Thanks.

Never white label supplements on Amazon, unless you have $50k to start, because is so competitive is ridiculous how much money you have to spend to succeed. I recommend staying away from that category.

Thanks for the insight, I definitely don't have 50k to start though!

The supplement I am thinking of is kinda in it's own micro niche. There are only about 400 results on Amazon.com, and although it's not a supplement anyone is doing huge numbers with, I think because I can direct traffic from my site straight to an amazon page I have an advantage and could do a decent number of sales each month. Admittedly I need to do some more in depth research around typical monthly sales in this area though to see if it's worthwhile.

If you feel comfortable you can send me what it is and ill evaluated doesn't take me that long to do it.
If you have a foundation you could have a chance, but the reason I said that was not because of the saturation but how mean and petty competitors are in this niche.
They will do anything to get your listing suppressed or account suspended.
Supplement sellers are a whole entire breeed of petty. They risk your account or even risk being able to advertise the product on Amazon ppc.

Thanks for the offer, I am going to take a look myself as it's something I need to learn anyway. If I get stuck I will give you a shout though, thanks. That sucks that it's so toxic but that is the world of MMO. Are you still doing FBA?

I'm not doing FBA anymore because I want to try a bit of dropshipping, right now I just evaluate products and try to find keywords for people doing FBA. I used to do FBA 3 years ago and failed so I started learning and learning and now Im good but became harder and I need around $15k to start to feel comfortable to do it again.
There's services here for Amazon product finder, and I try to use them to see how good they are but when I look at the products I feel the products are not good enough compared to my evaluation and process so Im "iffy" about paying for such services. Sometimes im curious though lol. I actually wanted to start a service in this forum similar to those services, but FBA is hard work I can give out a product and keywords they should target but if they dont do it the right way they it will fail and then blame me about it and I dont need no bad reviews in this forum I like this place too much. lol

I hope to do it in the future though it was a good business for me.

There are some companies I know do white label supplements, I’m not in supplements but in cosmetics and health.
I know several clients/friends that did or still doing supplements on Amazon as FBA. You don’t need $50K to do that! What you need is think about not running out of inventory, so if you have not done white label before then just be careful and start slow to learn, you can PM me and I will give you some tips.
You will need to find a reputable supplier that can offer you low quantity to start so you don’t have to spend $$$ on your first order, have tons of inventory then you end up not selling much, let’s say you start with 300 bottles, each costs you $4-5, then you list the item at $29 on Amazon? And Amazon fee is 12-15%? (Not sure what is the latest fee structure in supplements) , add FBA shipping cost for the 300 units which may be around $70, add other fee expenses and then calculate your gross profit and see if it’s worth it to do this or not.
Now the issue is: what if you sell these 300 units in 4 weeks? Amazon does not like suppliers who run out of inventory so your product ranking going to sink forever, you need to check how many you are selling per day or per week and replenish the inventory based on that, and many people never get this right, it is complicated.
So, when you first order the 300 units this will cost you $1,500 and adding other expenses like shipping ... maybe $200? = let’s say the whole cost is $1,700, and let’s say you are lucky enough to sell 100 units in the first 4-8 weeks with gross profit $15 per unit ( assuming you don’t have many expenses other than the product cost plus shipping), you will get $1,500 back in the first 4-8 weeks, you need to save this money so you can re-inventory, you can’t just go spend it on a car! LOL. So I hope you get my point. And check to see if you financially able to invest in the first small batch of the order and keep a float for the first 6 months while you are scaling this up.
Also, keep in mind that you may not sell anything and end up losing the money you have invested in this project.

Interested to know why you are going from FBA to dropshipping, most people seem to be doing the opposite?

Thanks for the reply, I have considered much of what you have mentioned. The only thing that concerns me is I want to sell on Amazon.com, but there seems to be more barriers there, e.g. registering to pay sales tax etc.

You forgot the cost for ads, FB increase constantly for example

I would likely just do Amazon PPC if needed, as I've heard of the cost of Facebook ads these days.

It’s really high risk since of the account banned more easily

You could say that about anything. If you stick to the rules then why would you be banned? Although I don't really trust Amazon.

I had a successful products making crazy sales many competitors but I was good because I offered value....well.....it had a patent and i promise you I look everywhere and because everybody was selling it didnt think it had one...I lost alllll my money. and a house full of inventory. So with dropshipping I dont have to buy inventory make money until I can do my stuff again. I have more knowledge and know when a product is going to be successful
