As a personal advice if you try to learn multiple things at the same from zero to decent then you are going to burnout really fast, try to become decent in something before jumping into the next one.
Good luck on this!
Nice one man, only things I would warn you about is learning too many things at the same time without taking time to apply what you've learned, if you're like 99% of the people on this planet, you're gonna feel overwhelmed very quickly! Best way is to learn, and take action at the same time, so you're actually making progress
I actually disagree with both of you on this topic. I've been around the internet marketing community for 10+ years and perhaps I downplayed my actual knowledge on these topics that I'm studying. I'd say I'm "familiar" with all these topics, but I just don't really know how to "work" them. I'm aware of terminology in 99% of the scenarios in the courses, I just don't know how to execute properly.
I already have an established business. If I didn't have anything established, then I would probably take more time to go through these courses. My mindset is "takeaway" knowledge right now. I'm watching these courses to "takeaway" as much useful information that I think I can immediately apply to my business. I'm taking notes & creating to-do lists as I watch these courses so I know exactly what to do when I'm finished with the course.
For example (and this is a very simple example, by the way), when I watched the MailChimp course, they talked about the effectiveness of boiler plate information at the bottom of emails. They talked at length about variosu different boiler plates you can add to emails. This was an entire segment in the course. Instead of taking notes on all the different boiler plate information I could add to emails, while they were going through the examples, I decided I liked a specific example the most for my business, and I simply wrote in my notes: "Add 'about me' section in emails or some other kind of boiler plate".
I already have emails setup. I don't need to redesign my email strategy and take notes on every section of the course, I just need to take practical notes that will improve my business in a quick manner.
A lot of the takeaways in the email marketing course, for example, were just moments of me realizing "Ah yeah, I should be doing that" and then writing the note in my notebook.
This allows me to extract to extract the maximum amount of information possible while I burn through these courses. Once I'm done with all these courses, I'll organize the to-do lists and strategies in a master notebook and I'll spend a week or two just making adjustments throughout my website, email campaigns, analytics, ad platforms, etc.
Hello there, nice to see the motivation back. I myself am trying to evaluate what else do I need to learn to get even deeper into the subject.
I am impressed with the plan of learning you laid out for yourself, I hope you stick to it.
Could you say a few words about the method through Instagram that helped you make it this far?
Not sure at what length I can discuss all my monetization techniques (some are rather unique, which by the way, unique monetization methods are my favorite), but I'll summarize some of them:
- CPA offer promotion on Instagram. I promote CPA offers through various Instagram mediums. One of my favorite methods lately is creating landing pages for CPA offers and instead of taking time to grow pages and promoting the landing pages to the same audience over and over again, I like finding the shout-out rates of influencers and I have them promote the products for me. For example, if I'm running a CPA offer that has a $20 conversion, I need to have at least 10 converts on a $200 shout-out for me to break even. It's nice doing methods like this and finding influencers who charge $200 for the shout-out and then they have a really solid community of followers and I end up getting 40-50 conversions. It's good money and very little manual work.
I've been doing various unique CPA offer promotions on Instagram since the beginning of Instagram career. Great money and a lot of twists can be added to keep things fresh. I've partnered up with people in the past to run IG ads with CPA offers with varying levels of success, but I'd like to try this again but run the ads myself. One of my earliest strategies that I helped pioneer on Instagram was the whole "Hey, we like your style, DM our main account to be an ambassador" comments. I didn't start this trend, but I definitely helped popularize it.
- My Instagram marketing company. Obviously this is promoted on Black Hat World, and you can discover what products & services I offer here relatively easily. I also have some great affiliates that help me promote elsewhere besides BHW. I'm hoping a lot of these courses will help round out my company and make it even more successful outside of BHW. I'm pretty happy with how my company performs on BHW so I'm not looking to make major changes on here.
- I do various Instagram consulting for influencers and companies. This is retty self explanatory. Not trying to brag on my own thread, but I feel like I have a great eye when it comes to trends and figuring out what's going to "blow up". I've made several public predictions here on BHW that ended up coming true. Being right about this kind of stuff over & over again is a pretty marketable skill.
- I also have a few other side projects related to Instagram that I won't discuss on here.
Good luck buddy, let me know how those course went, I may spend some money on couple of them also myself!
Do it! It's been super helpful so far.
How good are you with SEO?
I'd probably get a C- on a basic SEO test and I would fail a semi-advanced once. I used to own ScrapeBox back in the day if that counts for anything haha
I think you didn't mention how you achieved $10K goal even we know its Instagram, so by dropshipping, CPA, or what is that?
Answered this above!
@IGKing what is your main way of monetization when it comes to Instagram? What kind of product/service are you providing on there?
Answered this above!
Cute dog, I love gsds!
She's the best dog in the world.
The purchase was long and uncertain
Huh?
That was a long journey to read, so I left you in the middle
Sorry for that
Totally fair, I do that even when I reply to comments like
@IGKing
I was the same when I come on here I swooped from programming to internet marketing.
Looks like you got board from your Instagram adventure.
You rolled in luxury but didn't take much notice where the cash was from all you cared was it was there lol...Snap, you then fell in depression asking what to do in life lol, if that sounds right I was there......
Depression a fucker because it affects motivation and when I go on the computer and get stuck because I no I got cash income I am always saying in my head """ who cares go back watching tv lol...
It hard
Good luck
What I have noticed buying stuff even boring lol it a nightmare.
Covid kills all my emotions being indoors not really interested in anything, I just pay bills that it, rest don't matter .self esteem dead.
I no it mad I just fill not motivated, I no the tv news has effected me this way and hearing all the death tolls really has got to me badly in a bad flop...
I have tried nearly everything to pull my self together just not happening right now.
Just getting thu day via day here and there but motivation wise nothing....
If I touch the computer or keyboard I just get a sense of boredom very strange.
I still study everyday marketing and read about new applications and watch udemy courses and methods but doing them I just been board .
Hey man! Long time no see. Glad to see you still around the boards. Hope you find the motivation again. I know you can do it. If I can do it, you can do it brother.
I am following this. I wish you the best.
I am a big fan of 10X Rule" by Grant Cardone.
ps: I am bipolar+ex addict like Grant and I cleaned up 9 years ago. so I relate to the book compared to Robin Sharma or other authors.
I HATED the 5AM Club by Robin Sharma. It was such a waste of time in my opinion. Grant gets old after a while, but I'd rather have someone tell me some crazy shit than some boring shit.
Good luck! I purchased your e-book a few weeks ago and have been growing my Instagram following ever since. Are you going to scale your Instagram venture during this journey or pursue other methods?
Everything I do will be centered around Instagram marketing, but I will probably throw some Tik Tok in the mix at some point. For a full explanation on my methods, I answered this above.
