Found some super aged domains

This is a question about super aged domains.

How would you put the aged domain to use?

I found a couple of 10+ year old aged domains, that are local to my city and wanted to put good use of them.

I am looking to use them for local purposes.


Here are 3 ways of me using them.

1. Buy the domain and then do a 311 redirect to my local money site
2. Create a quick site and link back to my local site with NAP
3. Rank it and then make blog posts pointing back to my money site.

Which is the best use for them? Or do you have different ideas?

the domains are unfortunately not very niche to my money site but they have local authority sites pointing to them aswell.

1. Be careful with 301 redirects. The purpose of a 301 is to transfer a URL/Website to a new URL/Website. If you do a 301, make sure the domain is in the exact same niche or you will get fucked. But what would this accomplish? do the new domains have good backlink profiles?

2. Not sure about this one since I don't do local.

3. If the domain has a good backlink profile, then you can definitely do this. You can actually use non-niche relevant domains because they're still relevant by location.

Just to remind you, that domain age is not really a ranking factor, at least definitely not anything major. Focus on domains with actual backlink profile, not something as ridiculous as date of first domain registration.

None of the options you have mentioned is "using the domain for a money site".

If you want to use a domain for a money site, you take a domain and build a money site on it.

What you described is:
1. 301 redirect
2. Terrible 301 redirect
3. PBN

Also, the entire point of those domains, for these purposes at least, is for them to have an existing backlink profile. Redirecting domains without any backlinks just based on age will do absolutely nothing.

I can send you, literally, millions of domains that are older than 20 years and they will do nothing based on their age alone.

Actually, they will do something, (unless manually checked) considering that plenty of them were abused and manually penalized, so the best thing that can happen here is manual penalty for your money site.

If you want to do 301 redirect, then get a domain that's very closely relevant to your money site first. If you want to do a PBN, then option number 3 is viable, but without actually usable domains, it will not do anything.

So before asking for "genius" ideas, it would maybe be in order to learn the basic SEO techniques and terminology first.

1. I don't recommend directly 301 redirections. What you can do is, create an acquisition page on your money website and write like you've acquired the aged domain with internal links going to your money pages. And then, 301 your aged domain to that acquisition page. It is safer than the traditional method.
If you need the exact strategy, let me know, and I'll write it down here.

2. It's more like a PBN. It will cost you time and resources to manage it. Not a one-time job for sure but yeah, worth it

3. It's more like creating another website and taking backlinks in the form of guest posts. This is a unique idea, but it will cost you more time and resources than the PBN approach. So I don't recommend it.

The best use of aged domains is building niche websites. But if you already own one, you may not want to start another one. So, in that case, I recommend going for a 301 acquisition strategy. Like this one:



Other than that, PBN is a good option too. Totally up to you.

We make 301 acquisitions to fill the gap of lack of link building and authority.

It helps in giving a boost in rankings. So if you change your website to sub-domain, it might lose rankings and take time in recovering.

Not the best practice I'd recommend.

so step 3 being:

then step 4, 5, 6, 7 is the same.

Google treats root and subdomain separately. It will not work if you're going to redirect to a subdomain and need results on the root domain.
