Recommended advice for selling affiliate website (unimportant.)

Hey all,

I've got an blogging/reviews affiliate website I'd like to get taken off my hands at some stage. I was mostly active with the site back in 2018. It's had a bit of income trickling in from Amazon Associates since a few months after it started. I never gave it the attention it deserved and would be happy to pass it onto someone for whatever the fair price is. Trouble is, I have no idea what it's worth. I'll post the stats I have about the site. Given I've put so little attention into it, I haven't done a P&L or anything, I've just kept the domain registered so the Amazon Associates commissions can keep rolling in. Hosting is with Digital Ocean for $5 USD a month and the .com domain is with Namecheap for ~$10 a year. At one point it had a fair bit of traffic coming in, but I'm guessing its peak was further back than Google Search Console will let me go.

I figure the site could be useful to someone who's just getting started in the affiliate space and wants something to play around with, or needs a domain that's a few years old for something black hat.

Any tips about how to sell it would be ideal. I'd sell it on marketplace but don't have a fixed price in mind and am more focused on an easy, low effort sale.

I don't think it is worth a lot, to be honest, considering that the abrupt traffic decrease could point to an algo hit. All you have to show for is the age of the website and the articles if they are unique.. but good luck anywho

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but what I have found, is that a fair price will be the average for the past 6 months x 36. So, for example, your average earning per month for the past 6 months, is $100 per month, then the site on average can go for $3,600. The final price is determined by various factors, such as the site's SEO metrics, to gauge the ability for the site to get organic traffic, amount of content, evergreen nature etc...

I remember a few years ago the multiplier was about x 25 so it’s cool to see it’s still growing for folks selling websites.

If we take that 36 multiplier that would put this at ~6k so it’s obviously a little off! I should’ve been smarter to sell at it’s consistent earnings/traffic peak haha!

If I’d only get a few hundred for it I may as well keep it. Or... maybe I’ll try my hand at putting it in Marketplace for some low rate... hmm... decisions decisions

If you know you haven't done anything shady on backlink profile, then try to restore it. A website that once made some money, could possibly make some more with proper promotion.. Get it to earn and then try to sell

Financially that makes the most sense. And I don’t even think it would take that much work if I’m honest. That said, article writing is no fun for me and I don’t want to sink more money into it. I’ll think on it. Cheers!

You can go to the market like Flippa to check other selling sites and their prices to understand how it goes.

Normally , I will multiple it to a month profit x 10
