Incidentally one of the guys I was alluding to was the one you said should be banned from the forum. That’s the kind of desperate, attention seeking, toxic shitposters I was scrutinising.

I agree that a ‘lounge’ thread can have intellectual, lighthearted banter or even serious discussion but the most obnoxious posts that are just there to wind everybody up unfortunately always make it to the first page. I used to post on another forum that divided their ‘lounge’ one for constructive debate, discussion and intellectual humour and another called the wasteland for the shitposters and for lack of a better word, losers, like that guy, that wasn’t even indexed or accessible publicly, so unsuspecting visitors don’t think the forum is run for a bunch of loons. Unfortunately quality of ‘lounge’ can really reflect the character of a forum imho.
