So I got this quick question I'd like to ask. If I make my store in developer mode can I then start my 14 day trail?

I don't think so. Unless you are a Shopify referral which allows you to build countless stores.

You could use one of those trials to build your store, then export it and upload it with a new trial.

Short answer is NO! From the dev store you'll have to transfer ownership and Shopify doesnt let devs give a trial period to their "clients".
But... you can export your theme, and products feom your dev store and reimport them on a trial account (you just need to sign up to Shopify).

Why would you need the trial if you can build a dev store?

I assume you are using your dev store to sell products and not just a blog...
The dev stores don't process payments anymore so if you want people to be able to pay for your products, you will have to select a Shopify plan.

The answer is "YES" then right? If he is able to BUILD it, and then make it go LIVE and then start the 14 day trial. Think about it lol.
