Do you do-follow for Outbound Authority Links?

I am confused here, should I give do-follow link for authority sites or nofollow. I am using Rank Math and it is asking me to give a damn do-follow link. Kindly help.

I use do-follow for external authority links (that do not canibalize my targeted keyword). Works pretty well, because then your content becomes also good source of references.

if it is on a money page, i make no-follow; otherwise, it is do-follow link. I have not run any test to see what the impact would be if I make the outbound link a do-follow and any negative impact on serp.

Update: i am pretty sure it was the video from seofightclub on youtube and either Ted Kubaitis, Clint Butler or Kyle Roof said something around not wanting to lose any rank juice form their money page; hence making all outbound links no-follow

I think most people will disagree with you.
one thing though: for your money page, you should not create a link to a wikipedia page, it backfires more often then not when it comes to serp. i did this test few times, and sure enough, having a link to wikipedia page, reduced my ranking. once i changed to another authority site, the ranking came back.

I have wondered for a while and don’t really understand no-follow, do-follow.
Can someone explain easily when you use those and where? On your affiliate links?
