Just checked. Geforce 3080 mines 13 usd (eth) daily.

Yes, they are. Check below:
TqSX

Mining for ETH is not worth it. You need to get your investment + profit in 1-2 years. After that the majority of the system goes PoS.

Seems like the rise of Bitcoin has made all the mining platforms push out more ads. Even I saw one and now I'm curious myself.

I've been playing around with the idea of building a tiny (6 GPUs) mining rig just for fun... Collect the payment as Bitcoin currency and collect that thing for future use for when the price becomes potentially even higher than what it reached this time around.

For example annosilicon 10pro 4500 usd. It mines 75 usd daily, so 2250 usd per month minus electricty. It sounds ridiculously profitable. What am I missing here?
Profits change in time based on global hashing power. You only make profits after you pay up the rigs

ETH was a passion coin for a friend of mine. Invested heavily and filled his garage. Now they are sat doing nothing, waiting for a buyer to take them. I don't think his story is unique either.

That said... can you imagine the potential of these new cards?

It's almost impossible to find A10 pro for that price right now, but even if you find i think it's a little late because ETH soon will publish 2.0, and mining ETH will be drastically reduced. Im running my A10 for around 7 months and ROI was amazing but this was because the market exploded, i don't think that you can get another similar chance in near future.

Thanks for the info guys. Chipicao how is your performance with a10? Do you also mine eth? How long does it take approximately to get its price back by mining?

Yes i still have many A10, but now i want to sell some of them and buy GPUS, when i started back in June miners made around 12-15$ per day approximately, but in September that price was x2, octomber and November back to normal at 14$ and in December price skyrocketed at 30-40-50$ per day. Today they make around 50$ per day and it will go up because there are many transactions and people pay high fees to send money on time. This will not last long because Vitalik is against high fees and i think they soon will upgrade to ETH 2.0 when market get stabilized.

wont this take until 2022?
Nobody know but they work hard to make it work, right now all conditions are met. WHen they turn on ETH 2.0 miners still can mine but profit will be drastically reduced, and after some time mining will be completely disabled.

unfortunately it's not work like that, as diff increase mean less profit, new gpu less profit.
also when price take a dip. you need to mine multiple crypto to take make sure you can keep profit. also upgradeing your tech to keep up with the diff
this is based on my experience doing home mining in the 1080 era ( i use 5 1080)
honestly its more profitable to use 4500 usd to purcase the coin directly and sell it on rise . less risky, less haslle,

lookup this guy on youtube, bitsbetrippin I learned how to build a rig from him. He probably has over 100 videos on mining. Whatever you want to know about mining will be on his channel.

It heavily depends on the price of the coin, in 2017 it was profitable and I guess during the current bullrun it will again be. However, invest and HODL will most likely still out shine the hassle/risk/reward of mining.
