Looking for advice in choosing my path?

A short story about me, i'm a lurker on this forum for 3 years now, BHW is probably the most valuable place on internet that i found and i can't express enough gratitude for that.

Anyway last 5 years I'm working as paid marketing specialist, I've spent over $20M on Facebook ads for my clients and around $2-3M on Adwords, besides that i know my way around email marketing to some extent as well. All of my client's projects were success and I'm proud of that however I'm kinda tired of making other people rich while I'm still "stuck" as an employee. I don't have a problem to continue that way for next couple of years but in the mean time I'd like to start building something on my own.

I have money to invest and patience but I'm just looking for the right path to go to.

Thanks for you answer, you're probably right but I'm not really aware of it. The thing is that I'm used to "having a base" - my job was done for people that already had product or service they needed promoting and scaling on. I've never started anything from scratch besides my freelance career and that's where I'm losing my direction which is essentially my soft spot. When I'm reading threads on BHW it's filled with people with extraordinary journeys and there is just so many different ways to go that I'm afraid to take a step into wrong direction. I'm not experienced in starting anything new and that's making me doubt in my choices.

You're more experienced than I am. I think you have ideas how to make money so now you need to take action. Pick one thing and stick with it untill it profits for a start.

Trial and error my friend! Rome wasn't built in a day. Since you're experienced with Facebook and Google Campaigns, you can start with affiliate marketing (you won't have to sell your own product). When you've gotten the hang of it, you can move to e-commerce, selling your own stuff and creating a brand.

It really depends on the product - service you have in mind. It may be less work than you think if you plan everything ahead.

What affiliate marketing doing well, do you or someone you know making good with Affiliates? if yes which one?

Why not using your skills to promote cpa offer at the same time, you will learn many skills that will help you build your own product?

If I'm correct for that i need a website, I've never had one before on my own but that shouldn't be an obstacle. However what's confusing me is how it should look like, should it be article oriented, if so do i need to learn SEO as well to make it successful? Also I'm not the best writer, i can make a good ad copy for sure but can't say the same for a 1000 word article, in that case do I find someone else to write it for me?

As you can see a lot of questions pop in my anxious brain as soon as i have an idea, that's probably one of the issues that's blocking me - overthinking.

Look at some CPA journey. You don't really need a proper website for some of them.

I'd consider it to be a blessing to have your expertise
You should be able to mimic how your clients are making money off that traffic

CPA and Affiliate is a bit tricky and IMO they have low profit margin, so start a dropshipping store, and why not build a brand around it once you find your winner.

You should be able to mimic how your clients are making money off that traffic

Funny part is that 90% of my clients were in high ticket industries, real estate, roofing, automotive thus the ad spend, i wish i could mimic that lol but my budget is nowhere close to starting something similar, other clients were ones with specific product they were selling. I guess my biggest issue is/was finding goods to sell however the more i think about it the more I'm feeling dropshipping to start my journey.

Ever since i posted the thread that was in my mind, i think that you're right and that's probably gonna be my next move. Only thing that's making me anxious is that fight with Apple & overall tracking of visitors on paid platforms but i guess that's something we'll need to overcome eventually.
