High, I might aswell be asking wtf is crypto? with my level of understanding but basically I downloaded exodus and now I have zero idea how to load money from my account into there.

I’m following a tutorial that’s telling me to get coinbase and them transfer onto Exodus, os there a reason for this? Or is there am easier and direct way of getting money into my Exodus wallet?

There are various way to fund a wallet.

And buying from Coinbase and then sending the crypto to Exodus is one way.

I guess that the fastest way ever to fund a wallet is to buy BTC from a Crypto ATM, don’t know about the fees tho.

And for your question: wtf is crypto?

Is going to need a long answer, but i guess that you’re in the game for the money, so just see it like an investment asset.

2 golden rules to follow:

1) Not your keys, not your crypto
2) Always do your OWN research before investing

Have a great day.

Thanks for the advice. Right now I am just using it to pay for stuff that doesn’t accept any conventional means but I suppose investing might be an interesting venture when I get time to look into it

Also, most important rule is to ignore people who sound too self-confident, and overly optimistic about crypto.
All time high (ATH) prices are worst time to enter the market, and no this isn't magical money, all paper gains we see these few months will be paid by people who get in today.
Faster prices go up, tighter people hold, leading to exponential price growth known as a bubble. It always end up in crash.

I wouldn't invest into BTC right now. 30% correction is very likely. But we still had no altcoin season and that's what I'm waiting for.

You can transfer funds from your bank to coinbase. You will then have a coinbase wallet to transfer crypto to other wallets. I don't know if you can transfer funds from a bank to the exodus wallet though. I have had a coinbase account for several years and its been a good experience. I have also earned free crypto on coinbase through their earn crytpo program.

Investing in crypto is considered high risk. Bitcoin could keep climbing or it could fall again. Nobody knows where the top is, only speculate. I don't have deep pockets so I've been making small weekly investments over a period of years.

I would just buy BTC and hold onto it... likely going to be worth a lot in years to come

Hi,

"Not your keys, not your crypto" -> do you mean when we go through platforms like Coinbase (that makes everything easy and straightforward for us). In reality the coins are owned by Coinbase itself and they - lets say "allow" us through our account to use the part of coins we own in their system?

Let's say in an other way to be sure I am clear : when going through Coinbase, Coinbase own the money and we only have a contract that says that we are worth xxx coins. Is this what you implies here?

Best

Something like that, but that phrase refers to the fact that if an Exchange or any other Third Party could disappear with "your" cryptos and you couldn't do anything about it.

That's why the best thing to do is to have a ledger or something like that, where you can phisically store your cryptos and keep them with you. Without anyone else that can take a peek inside it.

I have the same thought, too risky at this time

Do you guys agree with this?

Also, what coins do you think is today juste before "media attention" and "public" according to this graph? Meaning: are there any coins that is more worth investing today?
Also, what good litterature do yo urecommend about crypto?

Well. Greed will come when all the other altcoins gain momentum. At the moment it's showtime for the Bitcoin and I think the show isn't over yet. If the cycle is legit there is still some more room to more ATHs until reach a "New Paradigm".

Well... BTC passed the 30k already. ;)
