I just want to be sure about this - is it "better" to have aged web 2.0 accounts when posting content to rank Tier 2 links? It doesn't seem to make much difference as far as I can tell?

from personal exp the whole aged concept has impact towards money site. as their use as tier 2, you probably will not get serp benefits. benefits will come from the web 2.0 not getting deleted due to sudden backlinking exercise when you start the web 2.0

I see....

So web 2.0 blogs are basically playing a cat and mouse game to find people like us doing this?

Seems obvious...

For Tier 2, aged accounts won't help much but expired high DA web 2.0s would definitely help but that's another thing.

There won’t be any major benefit but for safety it’s fine to use aged Web 2.0
I guess everything helps to stop your web 2.0 from being removed...the more legit it looks the better of course I guess

I'm about to start a bunch of campaigns using this strategy so trying to learn as much as I can

Not intended in response to mine but here it goes - the idea is to build real looking web 2.0s with lots of articles and personal bio on the about page. We would want to make them look like some average person is blogging on their own for real and then adding your link in one of the pages. Such web 2.0s tend to stick and works like charm to give the boost.

following aswell keep us posted when you fight the tools you think are best suitable.
