There's a lot of people in here that seriously don't understand what is happening right now with bitcoin and it's supply shortage. If you do just a little research you might understand where bitcoin is headed. Everyday we hear new big institutions, hedge fund managers, billion family offices allocating portions of their portfolio into Bitcoin. There's basically no Bitcoin left in circulation and there is a shit tonne of demand clearly... Do the math. Obviously the price will go up .. scarcity!

But it's a scam at the end of the day. There's only one single reason why anyone is interested in crypto - to make more dollars. Don't try to lie to yourself about it, don't try to cope, don't try to sell some cyberpunk dream larp, the reason people buy Bitcoin is because they want more US dollars. This means the legitimacy of BTC is strictly pegged to USD.
The angle about "big institutions coming in now" sounds like a cope, I might be wrong but those people are not dumb, no matter how much we'd like to think they are, so they might've been in on the crypto back at 5000, no? Or do you think these big financial supercorporations have the same behavioral pattern as some wage normie who dabs in and out of crypto and occasionally gambles on margin trading?
BTC has one purpose in people's eyes, and it has nothing to do with "getting rid of the banks", BTC is interesting when it's going up because people want to double their dollars. So think of it as a high end complex sports betting device. If you can make more dollars out of it, good, but don't get married to it emotionally.
