Hello Black hats,

As junior software developer, I'm learning SEO on the side and I'm wondering which career is more profitable ?

Sure as a software dev you can make decent money as an employee but as an SEO master I suppose you can easily set up powerful websites to do some affiliation and dropshipping and make 6, 7 figures semi-passively, on the top of being your own boss. I mean when I see the PRICE of some properties on Flippa... now that's where the money is.

What's the most profitable career in your opinion? Or is there a way I can combine both ?

How about SAAS as an option which you can make as a Software Dev?

I bet with Proper Marketing and a Quality Software,SAAS Model is more Profitable than SEO.But it really depends what are you more expertised in,Some might say SEO as well because they have reached the Potential of what Money can SEO bring them.

If you personally ask me,I would develop a SAAS and Make Big through it as this Model can make you Millions:)

That's definitely a great idea, but I feel that making a SAAS that people are willing to pay for require so much more efforts that setting up a dropshipping / affiliation website with good SEO traffic. It would be like trying to make a start up. Sure if it works you make millions, but the odds to work are really low.

And then when you develop your software how do you get people to know about you ? you need traffic. You need online presence. So you need SEO.

But that's just in my head, maybe I should make more investigations.

Yes,There's a lot of work in making a SAAS Successful. This should be done when you have an easy 30-50k in your hands to spend without actually worrying about it.If you are just beginning,Making a Bunch of Passive Incomes and Starting a Big Startup is generally a good idea.

I gave up programming never looked back.
SEO a beast as well like programming.

There plenty of way to earn online.

I like to copy some bright methods that come on here if it converts just keep it as an added income.

All soon add up.

Coding/programming killed me as a person sorry telling the truth, I was 13 hrs a day studying.

Php
MySQL
CSS
HTML
Xhtml
Javascript
Ajax

Then was

Macro media

Then was
Sage.

Then networking.

I have done all the 3 levels
Basic
Intermediate
Advance

I went to a special college for the blind but I passed everyone.

But

I started to get obsessed with coding like I only meant to code, so I moved on internet marketing, drop a link earn no way, yes way.

Why not do them both? You can have your daily 9 to 5 job and do SEO on the side. Lots of persons do that.

That’s the way to go, I’m assume you use some coding skills to creat scripts and bots that help you to scale etc.

for op, learn both.

both as you said semi-passive stick to your 9-5 and improve your coding game maybe you can make it to a FANG company and earn (6 figures + alot of social benefits) + some SEO or IM in general as a side hustle !.

but for me i would stick to software engineering cause it's the future imagine creating some good SaaS in the AI/Blockchain field you can make it to forbes but i doubt you d make it to forbes with SEO and Dropshiping yes you can bank for sure but tbh we live once so we better achieve some big fucking goals + (Successful SaaS is by far better than a Successful amazon affiliate website or dropshipping Store )

Indeed, use the money from seo to jump to the next level, like @klonja suggest, or maybe start an app that brings value to millions of people etc.

I was so obsesses no lie even meet the programmers that use c++ to make PHP.

I no I took it to far .

How on earth can you rebrand apps? Isn’t it stealing?

Not these days many application makers let you, on there oto upsales buy a rebrand licence there thousands doing it daily .

I bet there hundreds of the same app on here just skinned up.

Jvzoo famous for it .

I no it silly but application makers selling their own applications to rebrand, but it caught on, so many make thousands with the method.

Wannabe software designers I guess.

It nearly on all application these days usually the last oto upsell mentioned.

I also would recommend going for both then listen to your instinct.

If I just done c++ and real java there the big boys with money .
