Is BHW paying some users to open random threads or what?

I don't want to get warned for slander, so I'll not be taking any names here, but there's a guy who keeps opening threads with the most random questions, just like people do on Quora to earn peanuts.
I was wondering if BHW is paying people to rank for random questions?

Or is it just another case of spamming the forum to get those eyeballs to their signature?

I already unfollowed some of them, strictly related to your question. And, yes: I think they proceed in this way in order to "look more active" on the forum. One of my rules when I rent my sig space is to not be asked to create an x number of posts per day/week, because who rent the sig is renting the period I was here, and not a Virtual Assistant to promote anything.

Yes - Some people post stupid threads on the SEO section for their signatures to get seen more. These guys make a living out of renting signature space.

If you actively read the forum. It is painfully obvious. But they aren't breaking any rules. If you think about it, it is a win-win situation.
