It will always be viable - the market is saturated, but if you're creative and hard working there's always a way to make money.
The hardest part is content - you need to either have unique content or a hookup to content you can use. The promotion is easy, it's really content that gets tricky.

Of course. Any website in any niche can rank and make money. You will never have to ask again, because ANY website topic can rank and make money.
The real question is can YOU do it. The answer to that is almost always no.

The problem is the setup it is crazy, all needs to be all underground even if your just linking and done all thu Stealth accounts.

you get people argue it ok, but as soon as dmca or others like police come knocking crap there self.
currently USA want all porn shut down so the industry in big crap in general.
use Bitcoin only as receiving cash and real hidden bitcoin not general crap .

No, the setup doesn't have to be "crazy", you don't need to go underground and you don't need stealth accounts. There are 10001 ways to setup legal, compliant, "whitehat" pornsites. We are not talking about running Silk Road, we are talking about adult sites. Police won't come knocking unless you live in 3rd world hellhole. Getting DMCA requests is the part of the game in many niches, and if you comply, there's no need to shit yourself.
No, the USA doesn't want all porn shut down, especially the new dem government.
You can accept real $$$ with the right payment processors/e-wallets/whatever. No need to go crypto only.
It's not passive at all. Trust me. My setup is as automated as it can be but the industry changes every year.

It's literally the most saturated niche so if you're going in blind you will have a hard time, maybe if you focus on specific niches but even then it's the most competitive niche. The legal battles are ridiculous also, I prefer churn and burn parasite AFFILIATE adult sites.
IMO casino is more competitive with less opportunity to differentiate yourself with a unique product/service --
but yes, adult is about as competitive as it gets. You gotta go into it knowing what your competitive advantage is and how to take advantage of it.

Casino is definitely bad too and Casino has way more blackhat SEO in my opinion.
Converting adult is harder than Casino, horny people tend to not have their credit card out while watching porn, haha
