Not sure how much to charge for this - Help me out

I have a music website / blog where I get around 2,000 unique visitors daily. Anyway, this director of product marketing contacted me and proposed me this deal.
He wants me to make one post on my blog where he'd give me a short video to promote an upcoming game that's aimed at the same music genre my blog is about, a short post along the lines of "MY SITE has obtained an exclusive invitation for our readers to try out this new dance game by programmers who worked on Guitar Hero and Rock Band...." and my visitors would get "special" invites to try out the game
I've been talking to him by e-mail and now he asked me how much I would charge for this.
I have no idea what price to give him, don't want to go too high or too low, have never done this before.
What do you guys think would be a decent price that wouldn't scare him away lol

When negotiating with companies, it is always best to play high, because you can always work down from there. It's not a one-and-done deal. They'd pay a considerable amount of money for magazine or other kinds of traditional advertising and it is nowhere near as directed or trackable.

I wouldn't charge less than $1,000.00 and potentially considerably more. Is the company that is advertising a big company?

It's not well known, I've never heard of them. After doing some google research I found that they received over $5 million in funding last year.
$1,000.00 that's a nice sum of money, I'll wait and see what other BHW members have to say about this. Thanks oldenstylehats

My guess is that they've set aside a pretty large marketing budget if they're just starting out. Don't undersell yourself and good luck!
