Beginner advice [slighfly noob]

Hi! I started my channel about 3 weeks ago (relaxing music niche).

I ran some ad campagins in hope to get some subscribers organically but nothing magical happend. I also did some live streams in order to boost the watchtime.

As of now I have 53 subscribers and 373 hours of watchtime (according to the monetization tab in the studio).

What can I do besides keep running ads and posting every day (I have about 1 week in advance content waiting to get published)?

Please bear in mind that I can harldy understand the lingo used around here..I know, noob.

And oh by the way, I will start doing monthly giveaways. Mostly amazon giftcards at first. I figured out that maybe this will attract subscribers. But as of 3 weeks of posting, they are not really barging in the “door”.

I knew what I was getting myself into. I even stepped up the quality of the content. I know that at some point everything will be ok, I’m just trying now to make that a sure thing. Thank you for the reply!

Around 15$. I did get a lot of watchtime, over 1k hours in total although only 373 are eligible for YPP

It just takes time with youtube.

They want to know they can trust you before recommending you.

So having a posting schedule helps.

Then you can use TubeBuddy or VidIQ to see what keywords your competitors are using. Try using the same keywords and having better titles and thumbnails because sooner or later YT will start testing out your channel ... aka placing your videos in the recommended section in the sidebar and if people click the thumbnail and also watch (listen) to the video then that triggers the algorithm and you will get recommended more.

What do your titles and descriptions look like? Are they full of relevant keywords and content?

Also, I see a lot of people live streaming chill music. I listen to livestreams of chill or lofi music to work to. I bet if you ran a livestream on another machine or a virtual machine 24/7 you could do pretty well. I don't know much about this, however.

google ads watchtime will not count towards YPP. Also it wont help in ranking. However this is a good way to get startup and to gain some subscribers.
use vid iq/ tube buddy and steal your competitors ranked keywords and use that in title, description, tags,thumbanails etc. this will give little bit of search views. also promote in other social medias and keep posting it regularly. everything will pick up

I post daily, at around the same hours. I use vidiq (premium subscription) but honestly I don’t know if it makes a difference or not. It could be that I’m not using it properly, I admit. Thank you so much for the reply!

Take a look. I don’t really know if they are what they’re supposed to be.
The livestreams I ran until now were with OBS from my own pc. I will start tomorrow night a lofi/chill stream. I planned it a few days ago. But again, not the watchtime is the problem, the subscribers are. The conversion is almost nonexistent imo.

I don’t have anything else setup for the channel, i.e. social media accounts.
I know they don’t count. I was running them only for the ranking (at least now I know they don’t help it with that, so thank you) and for subcribers, but it didn’t go well so far in that matter. Thank you for your reply!

Here are two suggestions that I have.

I checked two of your competitors. Their channels are UC961ko9mCxvoHaeMUJb4Lfg and UCo1dxcgsibWFqyn8K0jgqhw

And those are just two I've found. I would recommend you get a list of 20-30 and see what they do and just try to do it better.

Here are some things I noticed these two particular channels do.

In the Title they include the "Hz" value which is very popular with these kind of channels. Then also in the title they make it more about the listener. Remember it's always about the end user, the customer.

So instead of "Calm #RelaxingMusic | Study Music | Sleep Music" ... you could say something like Enhancing Focus Study Music 528Hz or Increase your focus music 528Hz ... or something like that and you can also add emojis as they will increase click through rate.

As for the description, again look at what your competition is doing.

If you ask me, you could also monetize the channel without Ads, only with affiliate links in the description. People that listen to this stuff are a lot into spirituality and there are a tone of things you can sell them. Or at least you can try that until you get monetized.

Today youtube studio shows 350 hours eligible watchtime (lifetime span). That's a 23h difference. Why is this happening?
