I mean BTC is all the way to all time high. But those in top 10 like ETH and litecoin are not even half of their ATH. Should we forget the past performance to be possible now ?

because hey're all made for people that missed the 2013 -2017 btc booms to get rich too, they're shitcoins only bitcoin matters tbh

ETH has the largest development support. Many people build on it. I think it will grow significantly in the next year.
Yes, in last 48 hours, it has shown good growth.

Being speculation driven and not result driven. Metrics to determine value of crypto are complex, due to relatively small markets and lack of insider trading regulations.
Also, quick price pace attracts all kinds of traders and gamblers. Yes, gamblers. While people involved love to use term investing, most of them are into a quick flip and riding uptrends.
This means streakiness is a thing, and over short periods of time, certain coins are more popular than others.
Conversion to fiat has lots of complications, which inhibits people from selling when should be logical to sell.

BTC is the only one that gets any air time. Any of the Boomers or older people in finance who want to get in on the action start with the only one they know.
Bitcoin.

Altcoin seasons typically follow Bitcoin and don't usually rise at exactly the same time.
Here is an example from the 2017 bull run:

As you can see, Bitcoin typically goes parabolic first.

Bitcoin is not a company, altcoins are basically startup companies with coins/tokens allocated to themselves to get rich or to fund their project. Bitcoin is not this.

Institution and even smart retail know this , and this is why BTC is much more valuable than the rest. Look at centralization attacks via 51% or centralization attack via CEO/founders like the recent XRP/Ripple fiasco.

Bitcoin is one of a kind. No altcoin has been able to replicate it's security, network effect or fairness.

The only response so far from someone who actually knows crypto.

Altcoins can only go parabolic when the BTC dominance is low. At the moment BTC dom is around 70 and only if it drops below 50 you can slightly talk from an altcoin season. If we will see such scenario is just a guess but I hope for it around mid 2021 and buy some cheap altcoins until then.

Any predictions for Cardano (ADA)? Is it a good coin to buy now?
