I am working on site and after my 2 months of work my page is ranking on 2nd page on desire keyword but now management is saying to change page layout and they gave me reference of page to make but that page literally sucks according to seo standard now in this situation what should i do? I don't want loose ranking.

why dont you ask the client to list the top 3-5 things they like about their selected theme and you incorporate them in your theme? as long as it wont fuck up the seo
