I started a Weed niche account on twitter a couple weeks ago and right now I'm at 162 followers and I want to know how I can improve that. I've mainly been posting weed memes and stuff that goes on in my day as a smoker myself. I've been liking, retweeting, and commenting on posts in my niche and have been following the following of a few accounts in the same niche that have around 10k followers. I figure it's easier to grow a niche account in something you enjoy and do daily right? I also want to expand into more accounts but I don't know what the best growing niches are in Twitter.

Hi, I would say that you need to take care of the most basic but is very important to grow. What is that? Create good content, or create a unicorn tweet. Try to tweet content that includes these:

  • Picture - your tweet stands out better with a picture. This simple tactic can increase retweets by 150%. Besides, people interact with a tweet with a picture 5x more compare to a tweet without a picture. As the popular saying goes – a picture is worth a thousand words – so don't forget to include one in your tweet whenever possible.
  • Meme or gif – most people go on Twitter for entertainment. That's why interesting memes or funny gifs tend to receive a good response. They are great ways to showcase you and your brand's personality. Add this fun spin to your tweet to stay trendy and let people have fun!
  • Video – 82% of users watch videos on Twitter. It's becoming the most popular rich-media format on Twitter, giving people an excellent way to communicate a message and generating favorable responses from followers. Moreover, it's easy to create videos these days. You can use Animoto or Lumen5 to create videos with text, BIGVU teleprompter to do recordings or interviews, and Periscope to create live videos.
  • Emoticon – this is another quick win. Studies showed breaking up tweets with emoticons gets 57% more likes, shares, and comments on Twitter. Text-only tweets are quickly becoming a thing in the past!
  • Quote – quotes work great on all social platforms. Twitter is no different. Find quotes that are relevant to you, your brand, or your business. When you are in doubt, go for evergreen quotes such as motivational, positive, and good vibes. These never failed to impress and can often get retweeted. The key is to find something simple and unique.
  • Power word – power words and superlatives draw people's attention to your tweet and increase their likelihood to click your link or watch your video.

The guy above already told you everything.
But I can tell you a way though.

Also create a instagram meme page and post your tweets screenshots there too, this way your instagram audience will also follow you. Its a long process but it works. Because memes get viral fast in instagram than tweeter. All you have to do is post screenshots of the tweet with a meme. Your handle must be visible. Thats it.

And yes if you can make a pinterest account then do make a pinterest account for your meme page. Pins get viral easily and even get ranked on google sometimes so choose your title and description wisely and don't forget to use 2-3 hashtags in the pins. Don't over do the hashtags.

GOODLUCK, cheers mate. ;)

Here is one practice which I do for my twitter growth.

Find people similar to you. Who posts the similar type of content like you post then go to their followers and start following them. There is every chance that many of those will follow you back.

How many %? return did you get when you applied this? (follow back)

Make relevant posts according to your niches that the Twitter algorithm will know what type of users will interact with you and the above they said that follow people with your niches, it works believe me.

When i try; backtrack is 15-20% Where am I doing wrong ?? !!
20% still a good number, If you want to get more followbacks make your account look beautiful and classy not messy, the tweets need to be so good and you have to wait cause not everybody will follow you back the same day cause not everybody connect to twitter everyday
