It's all about manual posts, then automatic, usually after 15 non-anchor-text posts because of common penalties and postponements by successful blogs. There are many authority URL's that, because they do well, have full time administrators who will remove back links. You can try posting spun content without links for 15 days, but that shows lack of interest, unlike a human commenter, on hot topics that you should read and address in detail to bluff the administrator and not receive complaints from with regard to other commenters. Then you can blast away, say after 15-20 comments with no links, preferably with no more than 1 comment a day per website you promote, per blog you comment on. Never be "spammy", make it an editorial, and say good things about the site you are posting on. If you have more than one site, great, than post more than one comment a day on each blog, but they should be related sites as keyword relevance is important to high PR. This is not gray hat, it is white hat turned black hat. You should manually comment on 10 blogs a day, and if they rank 11-20 on Google for the keywords you are optimizing for, great, because they are still DA URL's with probably less supervision than top 10 sites where you should definitely get into the top 10 results (top page at Google) after organic indexing occurs.
