Hello guys,
I read this on apple appstore guidelines :
  • 1.1.6 False information and features, including inaccurate device data or trick/joke functionality, such as fake location trackers. Stating that the app is “for entertainment purposes” won’t overcome this guideline. Apps that enable anonymous or prank phone calls or SMS/MMS messaging will be rejected.
Is that mean that we can't submit prank apps ?

"Apps that enable anonymous or prank phone calls or SMS/MMS messaging will be rejected.". I think it says that very clearly. Yepp, they will be rejected... but then, submit it for review anyway and see what happens. You have nothing to lose, right?

the problem with apple if you get rejected 2 or 3 times because you did not read / follow the guidelines they flagged your account to termination .... it's not like the google play ... rejection with google does not count as strike ... with apple it count ... so i must be sure about it ... and i still see some pank apps approved recently on the appstore :(

Hmm, still you have 2-3 times. But I get what you are saying. I think it's better to not make these apps for app store. If your apple id is blocked, you are fked lol. You could always just use google play to push any shit you like. If you get banned, spend $25 and get another one. :p

You don't imagine the power of appstore :p

Honestly, I have just started realising the power. All I am concerned about is the fact that your account is tied to your hardware. Apple hardware isn't cheap lol. If there was a way to create a developer account, and push an app without using xcode/transporter; I would game it everyday. :D

you need at least an iphone you can buy some cheap iphone 5 or something like that ... and for xcode use vmware.

and for xcode use vmware.
Yeah. I used hackintosh vmware before. Unfortunately, the image I got had a blocked account. I don't make native apps, so I don't really need xcode. All I needed was transporter, and the apple ID. Anyways, those days are over. I have finally bought a mac mini, and waiting for it to be delivered in jan. I will be following all ios related threads from now onwards for ideas. :)

anyway ... how the other developers get their prank apps approved ?
