Can I get banned for this?

I have a virtual assistant out of India who is doing basic engagement tactics (likes and comments) when I do not use the account. I want to start having him engage with accounts closer to the time I post, as I think this can increase my engagement rate on posts. If I am using the account in the US at the same time as he is using the same account in India, can I get flagged or banned?

If you can, as you said, avoid using the account during the same time 2x across the globe, which should be fine when we calculate your hours appart.

Just post, then remove the app, and he/she'll do the things.

An account compromised can happen, which will (only) lead into a password change. No big deal.

If you will be using it at the exact same time parallel then this could trigger an internal flag.

I would set up a schedule about when to use this account where before, and make sure to uninstall/install the Instagram app also.

I would not risk to do it at the exact same time from the US and India.
