Simple question.
I am currently getting around ~3k visits daily with half of the traffic being from the US. Is that sufficient?
Also should I take into consideration selling ad space?

If you listen to my advice better wait and grow your traffic before you insert ads on the site, this is too little to make money.
Users like the sites without ads and you can grow your traffic much faster and when traffic is big enough you can start using ads.

That's what I was thinking. What is the optimal amount of traffic when I should add ads?

Well if you have business that pay your streaming site expenses best amount is 30-40k but if you can't pay server cost etc. you can start using at 10-15k
Thanks a lot for sharing this info. Always gonna find helpful info on this forum :D

30-40k is too high? Bcz we have to rank main keywords at least top 2 to receive that amount traffic. And then we’re not sure keep them ranking so long.

3k daily visits is a solid start, and with 50% US traffic, it's worth considering selling ad space, especially if your audience is engaged

3k daily visits with half from the US? That's solid! If your audience is engaged, selling ad space could be a smart move to start monetizing

3k daily visits with strong US traffic is a solid start definitely think about selling ad space if your audience is active and relevant to advertisers!

3k daily visits with a good portion of US traffic is definitely workable. For the movie streaming niche, CPM rates usually depend more on geo and user behavior than pure volume. You could test a couple of ad networks first and later think about direct ad deals once traffic and engagement are more consistent.

3k daily visits is a decent starting point, but in the movie streaming niche the RPMs are usually on the lower side unless you have very strong GEO traffic. You can technically monetize now, but expectations should be realistic. Many site owners first focus on improving traffic volume and engagement, then add ads gradually to avoid hurting user experience.

Selling direct ad space can work later on once you have stable traffic and clear stats to show advertisers.

If you follow my advice, you should focus on growing your traffic before adding ads. At this stage, the traffic is too low to earn money. Users prefer ad-free sites, which helps growth. Once traffic is high enough, ads will be more effective.

For movie sites, AdMaven is the GOAT—their BVI ads on the "Play" button have the best CPMs. Adsterra is also solid for layering their Social Bar.

Tier 1 or global traffic?

In my opinion, you might get better long-term results by focusing on growing your traffic first before adding ads.

At around 3k daily visits, earnings from most ad networks can still be quite limited.

Also, sites without ads often provide a better user experience, which can help you grow faster. Once your traffic increases more, you could then test ads or even selling ad space.

In 2026, movie sites are all about ads that trigger on the "Play" button.
AdMaven is still the GOAT here-their BVI ads feel natural and the CPM is huge. Adsterra is also solid if you want to layer their Social Bar for extra clicks.
You hitting Tier 1 or just global volume?

For movie/streaming sites people usually go with:
Adsterra (very common for this niche), PropellerAds or AdMaven for pop/push volume, and ExoClick / HilltopAds for more aggressive monetization setups.
Basically it’s mostly pop + push + mixed formats - not AdSense style stuff.
What GEOs are you targeting?
