I recently just bought a domain, a brand name for a popular Youtube beauty vlogger. She has about 200k active subscribers. Imagine buying jessicaalba.com, you'd think it's a golden opportunity. So what do you think I can do about this? Sell it to her (that is if she wants to buy it) or build on it?

Have you checked if that is a trade mark?
I doubt about such domains. That might me be a kind of lottery and you can have as good money as headache with such kind of domain names.

Part of the process of trademarking is securing one's domain. So I doubt if it's trademarked

Is it trademarked in your country? Sell it for 3k (less than UDRP). Quickly. Your options are really limited with a trademark.

If you're in a different country that's first to file, file a trademark there and start selling cosmetics. Then sue her.

Not a lawyer, not legal advice.

try sell it her. though, if she says no you're kinda screwed.
i tried to do something similar with a cpa network recently. and they straight up said no.
set your price low, like 100-200$ and they might consider buying it just for the vanity.

Not the case, really. And trademarks are per country. Most countries are first to file, not first to invent. Often popular US/UK shows aren't trademarked internationally until they've been on a season or more (or broadcast internationally) because lawyer costs are high. The Simpsons was involved in literally dozens of trademark suits all over the world.

There is "Duff Beer" in Mexico, wherein fictional products were found not to be able to be trademarked.

In a lot of the Arab world, the TV show had to buy out the trademarks from locals. They're VERY aggressive with IP now, but they weren't 25 years ago.

Not a lawyer not legal advice.

Selling is the easiest way to make money. But if you have the patience to wait and the time to work on it, then you may make a lot more money eventually down the road.
