Doing Guest Post Outreach from the main Gmail. Is it risky?

I started doing manual outreach from my main gmail account.

Am I risking something?

One of the main factors for any outreach is deliverability. Here's few things to ensure your messages make it to your recipients' inboxes:

• Make sure you have a good quality mailing list (should be verified)
• If it's a new gmail account, don't send more than 5-10 emails a day (if you need to send more, consider using GSuite)
• Make sure your emails are legally compliant (make it easy for people to unsubscribe)

google has enough problems already that they are not going to break privacy laws.

Until you are doing outreach completely manually, You will not face any issues. This means You have to pitch only manually collected prospects for outreach, if you do so obviously the no of mails you will be sending per day will be lesser which will not make any issues.

Very important don't ever irritate the bloggers by repeatedly pitching them in very frequently, which will make them report you as a scam, then you will enter into the risky zone.

If you are not spamming with a generic offer, I don't see how you're jeopardizing your account

I suggest the following

- Customize your template with each email
- ASK THEM for topics - don't cram a set topic down their throats (pre-set topic is targeted to your keyword)
- Offer content that can actually draw traffic and get other bloggers to want to link to you (example: survey results, case studies, etc)

No Not at All! but make sure you send limited no of mails everyday or else you email account will be blocked.

Should probably use a throw-away gmail instead.

If you burn your main gmail account will affect your delivery rate, hence more mails going to spam.

While it's probably safe (who knows, right?), I still wouldn't recommend it because a lot of people are paranoid about it, resulting in a lower response rate.

I also think emailing from the email attached to the domain you are trying to guest post from looks more professional.

Maybe other people react differently, but personally, I rarely even read guest post requests coming from gmail accounts anymore because they are usually spammy mass-emailed guest post requests from spammers. Any website with a shred of credibility is going to be using their legitimate website email address, not some free email service which they only signed up for to mass-email spam requests.

I get so many of these requests from gmail accounts (almost all of which are spam) that I don't even bother looking at them anymore.

I do it via gmail - The title of the message I add is always just Hello, the other day google offered me another title "Paid Guest Post Outreach" or something similar.. and I instantly thought switching emails.

They know.

You can use webmail to play safe.

Yes you can this. but it will be better that create a new Gmail account for a guest post outreach. because you will send bulk inquires and receive mails in bulk.

That's okay, but I like to use my personal email address, for example. This makes it clearer for my clients that I have a personal site, or even several sites from where I send emails to them. They trust me then

Completely different department at Google. People think that Google is this one small office where everyone talks to each other and is constantly scheming to screw over SEOs. Nothing to worry about.

It's ok for Guest Post Outreach, big NO if you are using it for cold emailing.
