I wanted to create this thread to see how different SEO's handle improvement.

Scenario:
You've created a page and ranked #6 for a keyword, you want #1.

What's your process? Just hammer content? Just build links?

My Process personally would be to push On-Page to the extent, improve the content, add images etc, then build some powerful pbn links.

However, looking to see other angles and other perceptions.

I would also take a look at the first 2-3 positions and see if there are any niche backlinks that I could also get for my site. Maybe they pay to be on a specialized forum in that specific niche, etc.

The process is to see what is missing the most and do that. If content seems weaker than competitors, improve content. Or same with links.

I would tend to focus on either of the above, improve it, see what happens, rinse and repeat,....

Improve my website for rankbrain, first of all the domain should match the intent to increase my CTR + a Good Title and Description...

Then Focus in UX inside my website...

Nowdays backlinks are just 20% i can rank websites without Backlinks just with good exipired domains
