Can't you? Never tried it, but I guess you are right; bcoz even if I do get to see the apps; I won't be able to download shit.
Same goes for gmail as well.
I am not saying it's a solution, but if watching YT/Google search is all you need; just use incognito. It should work fine (working fine for me atleast).
