Setting up a WordPress site on an offshore VPS host from BHW forum vendor and am getting a "Missing a Temporary folder" error when trying to upload 2 different premium themes.
IE: dooplay theme and Psyplay Theme.....
For reference, I was able to upload both premium themes to my shared hosting accounts without a problem. So i know the themes are fine...
The host and I did the Wp-Config.php edit that's explained here:
https://www.wpkube.com/how-to-fix-missing-a-temporary-folder-wordpress-error/
The host hasn't responded to my last few messages. In a previous message
The host said it was my theme since they were able to upload a theme to my WordPress. But like i said above, all my themes upload to my other hostings so I'm not sure why they won't upload to VPS WordPress.
I'm out of things to try... The article I referenced above does say:
"In Conclusion
If the issue persists, get in touch with your web hosting provider and contact their technical support team and ask them to fix the problem.
In most cases, this error comes as a result of terrible web hosting configurations and management. If you want to avoid such issues in the future, consider moving your website to a managed WordPress hosting platform."
I'm new to all this so I was unaware that Cpanel costs extra on offshore hosting or that an unmanaged VPS might be more than I could handle for a semi beginner. Run several shared hosting sites fine...
But I honestly believe this problem is on the host side... They act like I should fix it in some messages but try to help me in others... I think I've been in contact with several different people.
I paid upfront for a year of offshore VPS hosting because it was a vendor from here and I thought it would be a smoother process than it has been.
The WordPress site is up and running fine, I just can't upload my premium themes....
I'd love to hear any fixes or suggestions someone with experience might have for my issue..
Thanks
JRS
