Good question. It's because I copy/paste all the names into random.org.

Then I hit enter and separate every x names onto their own line.

Then I hit go, and it randomizes them all. The row with a's happened to come out on top. Those were the finalists. Then I spaced the finalists onto separate lines and hit go again.

That selected the winner.
