Hey guys,

I am currently forming a new LLC in the states and got a recommendation about this Mercury Bank.

I saw a few good reviews. The website claim (almost) everything free. And yes, the biggest advantage for a person from Europe - they do NOT require a PERSONAL VISIT.

Sounds a little good to be true.

Don't you have guys any experiences with them?

I need just a bank account to receive Stripe payouts, that's about all.

if your clients are American it's a good option...they didn't warn me about it and I couldn't prove that I had American clients, so they closed my account

if your business has American customers is a valid option, it seems reliable

My clients (customers) are all over the world. But all the payments will be collected by Stripe (credit card payments). So the Mercury bank will deal with only 1 other business and that is US Stripe.

I believe they don't care what payments (and from who) I am getting to my stripe account - that is just between me and Stripe. I hope :D

As long as you have some American customers, it’s a good idea.

The reason they require them is a legal reason I think.

For example, it would be in a very grey tax and legal area if you set up a US LLC, but conducted business all in the U.K. with U.K. customers only.

So I think that’s why. Their support is always very helpful :)

Hmm ok now I am starting to be a little nervous. Are you guys both referring to clients/customers who are in DIRECT CONNECTION with mercury bank? I mean clients that SEND MONEY TO BANK ACCOUNT? If so, it's ok! But if "overall clients outside the states" that might be an issue for me!

But a good point - I am gonna ask this on support! Will let you know.

delawareinc.com why?

/// or you mean my home country? It's Slovakia, Europe

Ok guys, I reached the mercury bank support (nice to know they reply also during the weekends, doesn't feel like working with a regular old-school bank).

They don't care where are my customers from since all the money to their bank will be coming only from one "customer" and that is Stripe - with a regular, well-known US company.

So that's great. Already signed for the account. Super-simple process. Now I will see how long it will take to open the account and send my card.

Will keep you posted

Hey bro, are you eligible for creating a stripe account? Which country are you from, and did you created the stripe acc with the USA LLC ?

Mercury is great. Use them myself for a few things. Nothing sketchy about it if your US
