SEO metrics are just what they are, guestimates, so use a combination for better overview; mine is this order:
DA, RD,TF, DR, etc.
So yeah DR combined with DA is best, better than just looking at one of them.

Common guys you should know better. First you have to understand what this metrics shows, then to decide which one to look for.

DR is measuring the strength of the incoming links only. Nothing more nothing less. Ignores nofollow completely and is kinda weird calculated as it looks at the total number of outgoing links -> links from BBC will give you less DR boost than from shitty PBN, as BBC have many outgoing links, while the PBN may have just one.
TF is trying to determine the proximity and the number of links of the website to/from the "seed" sites and given according to that. Seeds sites are sites than Majestic thinks are the authority website that Google get as a base for ranking.
DA is again looking only at the link strength at to some extend the spam factor.

Now I prefer DR simply because Ahrefs have the best index of those 3 so it gave me the best possible picture of the link profile of the website I am getting link from.
