How to Stop These China Bot Hits??

Hello Guys,

I found my websites always followed these China bot hits after I view my website or a certain page.
Do u guys know why my own visiting can attract so many bot traffic? How to stop them from automatically hit on my websites? Looks like these bot hits affect my website ranking.

Add cloudflare, there is a filter of countries you can restrict, the code is "CN".

I don't think bot hits are going to affect rankings unless there are so many of them hitting and replicating a ddos attack slowing down your website for days on.

Baidu is china's version of Google. Those are not DDOS attack but crawlers bot that indexes your site to their search engine. I would not block them, they don't take much bandwidth.

I can't conclude this as I got two websites performing like this, when I visit any of the web pages, there are always some bot hits followed. These two websites are both red-flagged by G
My other clean websites appear to have no such bot hits. so, am not pretty sure what going on inside.

I just don't understand why my personal view can always be followed by bot traffic? Baidu crawler so sensitive?

For another, I don't think many ppl will use Baidu to search English content. They are mostly Chinese engine, and from I know, they are crap.

Likely Chinese search engines. You can just block the IPs with htaccess or with WP plugins.

Look up IQ Block Country, which is a Wordpress plugin that will allow you to block certain content from specific countries. You can allow some content, but block more important content from showing or just do a total global lockout.

You can install a WAF like getastra.com or Shield Security (Wordpress) and activate the option „block bad and fake bots“
