I am blogger I have two sites. Ahref DR was 18 until last month. I seen Sudden fall in DR it came down to 8 UR is remain at 25. May I know how to recover?

Check your backlinks did it drop, did you have google stack links because ahrefs no longer considers them for dr, rest stuff to recover is through backlinks on your homepage

Important Changes to DR
We’ve made some tweaks to our Domain Rating metric so that it better reflects the link value of domains. Links from possible Google domains like google.ws are now excluded from DR calculation.

I'm still new, is this a good thing that Ahrefs did this? I know that SEMrush and Ahrefs can be a little different with their metrics but I'm planning on utilizing Ahrefs in the very near future. Thanks in advance!

It doesn't really matter anything, as Google do not use Ahrefs stats for anything. It's just an indicator (third party metric).

All i know DR keep fluctuating in any cause ,check your ON page and back links that are pointing to your site may be you will find some.

They change their algorithms frequently so this may happened. Look for your recent lost backlinks.

I am not sure when it comes to yours for me i can manupulate DR with contextual link blast. Just make sure to blast with readable nice content. Tired link building campaing does the trick
