Mods , admins , even owner ..... Image sticking .

I don't install any adblocker extension, but am getting the issue here from last week. I thought my internet was the problem. even I checked my internet speed too :anyway:

Even when I uploaded a image today firdt it turned into a file image name, then when I again removed it and uploaded it showed not sure what’s causing this issue

Just tested some random thing on that thread. I saw the image, and then I forced Chrome to clear cache and refresh, and then the image disappeared and I saw only the file name again. This is what was posted in my console.

Edit: it's now also not showing for like 10 refreshes in a row after clearing cache

I tried the market place and all images/adverts are fine.

It only when I enter a post and a user has left a image to show whatever.

I have no examples yet but as soon as I hit one ill post.

I assure you that many of us are experiencing this same issue - and it is not an outdated browser problem.
This is an IM forum, so I think it's safe to say most people here know how to update their browser. lol

Anyways, I've seen these same image loading issues on BHW for days now.

If you show us your network tab, I think it will be pretty helpful. Press F12, and click on the network tab. Then refresh the page, and show us what you see. The missing images shouldnt be 200 OK. They should have some other status.

Edit: For those who are having an issue (with external embed like Social Sparrow pointed out), please do try going to imgur and see if you can see any image there. It might also be blocked. ;)

Thanks all this gives us plenty to go on. We'll be looking into it now as a matter of priority.
May take a little longer than usual as we're having an issue recreating the error. But we'll get it solved.
This is one of the many reasons that BHW is such a great community.

I have just checked it now, from my desktop, and the image is once again not showing (Even though it was showing earlier, after I edited the post).

For reference - screenshot I took in my previous post was from iphone safari browser, 4G, o2 UK.
Checking it just now from desktop, windows 10, Google chrome beowser, BT/Virgin UK broadband.

I have also just taken a quick screen capture video of the image not working to begin with and then starting to work after I clicked "edit", "preview", "save".

Looks like we've got this fixed now. @redarrow as the OP can you confirm this is now working for you?

I've tested all the links provided in the thread and they are all working for me. Can you check they work for you as well, some I wasn't able to recreate the issue with.
Thanks all for your help in this, turns out it was a permissions issue on our back end now resolved.
