This update is extremely disappointing. My website took a hard nose dive 24 hours after the rollout started. I'm building links completely white-hat and I'm totally surprised that I was outranked by low-quality sites.
Has anyone ever had a 50% decrease at the start of a core update and then bounced back before the update finished? Is there any hope?

That's just something I noticed with my own sites. All sites no GMB got hit. It is what it is.....

Cloning. Link Building. Scrapping content and rewriting first paragraph. Bot traffic. Tons of YT comments on fresh videos placing my URLS. Safe PBN. Forget about SEO guru and stay safe with good old Black Hat. You bounce but you don't fall. Not for long time.
Doesn't make you different. We are all doing BH. No one will say they haven't build a single link. I wonder why people say they do whitehat when you see they have backlinks.

I have noticed from my site that all the commercial keywords I had ranking in the top 5 have been knocked down to page 2 now and Az and the other big retailers have taken those positions with maybe 1 or 2 massive affiliate sites in there on page 1.
I knew I was playing with fire relying on those types of commercial keywords but they are so juicy and have massive volume.

Terrible update. The best way to sucesss in Google is make ramdom webs. White hat, blackhat, long content, short content, duplicate content...

I'm actually confused right now because GSC looks like my main site got wrecked on impressions and clicks, but my analytics traffic looks fine and my last few days of affiliate income have been normal.

Of course tons of backlinks will help you. No matter where they're coming. Don't see any page ranking high without backlinks. After all it's part of google own algorithms system. They need those links to read our browsing habits. Content is king my ass!

I am very happy, the third day that my website only goes up on SERP. I'm recovering from the May update. My accesses have already increased by 80%
Never celebrate a google update. Trust me.
From what I've been seeing in all the latest updates, it is possible to celebrate yes. After two years here, it never reverses, who goes up goes, who goes down goes down. At least on all my sites and friends this is how it works. If something is wrong, it is not the spread of the algorithm that will naturally adjust things, but a new update. If you do not have this new update, this current update will keep the results we are having.
