I have a problem.
I had 8-9 keywords on the top 1-3 positions in Google for 6-7 months now. I was receiving decent amount of traffic from them.

But one week ago all those keywords (and all the keywords that were on 2 or 3 page) went down to page 8 or 9. Even the name of my website now is not on the first page of Google when you search for my website's name. Now there are social media of my website, the website itself is on the page 2.

There are no manual actions in the Google Search Console page.

Is it just google dance or I am having serious problems?
I reached these results by buying WEB2.0 links on BHW.

unfortunately, I'd say it's a penalty.
Had it long ago... my social accounts were ranking above my site and all rankings went to page 5 or lower.

Google Search Console is slow to report anything unfortunately right now. So, you may want to see if this is a penalty or not. You can disavow spam backlinks and create quality content and then raise a reconsideration request from your GSC.

When you search for website's name and it doesn't show it's most likely algorithmic penalty, unfortunately.

Check this: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-check-your-website-for-algorithmic-penalty.1211617/
Initially i just enter the name of my website (without .com) to the search and the website appeared on second page only.

Now I entered <name of the website> com
and it appeared on the top first result on the first page. Seems like everything is not that bad yet?

What can I do to get rid of this penatly?
It was long ago and I was hit by a penguin update... rightly so but unfortunate, basically I was sponsoring some WP themes and 1 theme went viral (over 1 million pages had the same signature)... Disavowing didn't help at all and I couldn't make people change the theme so I changed the domain. Years later, as many sites died the penalty was lifted.
Now, I have 301 redirect to the new site.

Yeah, looks fine to me... if you search for yoursite.com and it ranks #1 then it's all good and NO penalty.
When I had a penalty... I was ranking on second/third page for mydomain.com

Is is obligatory for Google to report the violation to the website owner in Google Search Console?

Does it happen, when there is a penalty, but google consoles says that everything is ok?

No and no , unfortunately. google tells you something about penalty when there is unusual backlink activities. your website could face issues from having a very high percentage of exact match anchors for your primary keyword. You will usually hit an algorithmic penalty, which will not lead to any message in your google search console.

What can I do with it now?

when did you buy the web 2.0 links on bhw?
I way buying 2.0 on BHW gradually during the first half of 2020. January-September. 1-2 packages per month.

Didn't buy any 2.0 links since the end of september.

Also during this time (July-September) I bought some links from Crowdo (forum posts) and 20 links from one PBN (Dexter's lab, in July).

It needs to be identified first. Usually, it's anchor text.

That's a good sign then, yeah.

Could you please provide more info about how to identify the penalty (I already did a domain search test, all good) ?
And what is the issue with the anchor text? There are too many backlinks with the keyword that I want to rank for? What is the solution?

Basically, you have to find the differences between your competitors and you.

Most effective way of fixing anchor text issue is replacement. You replace the bad ones with good ones. If you cannot, you have to dilute them.

I have no competitors. My website was the only usual website in the top 10 results.
All other results are : Pinterest boards(6 of them), twitter account, youtube playlist, etsy category page and one facebook page.

None of them did seo for this keyword. It is very low comp.

You say it's low comp and these weaklings rank.

How many links do they have? Or rather, how much more do you have?

Are you trying to rank inner page or homepage? Homepage will have a hard time outranking inner page of authority site.

What is your content type? Informational / commercial etc. Commercial will have harder time ranking for information terms.
