You can use use paypal for anything on godaddy. Go into your account settings, then find payment settings, add your paypal id and your good to go.

I pay using Paypal. However, I have heard such similar issues where ppl told me the Paypal icon disappears for them on the payment page. So its not strange.

You can use paypal but it will ask for card details when you upon final payment. So even if you have balance in paypal, your account should be linked with a credit card or debit card.

If you are from a country whice is not supported by Paypal ..then godaddy will not show paypal button.for example if u r from pakistan godaddy will not show paypal button ..so as a solution change ur account information change it to india then save .. log in again u will see paypal button on payment page.

Yes to have and to pay with sufficient funds. Verification doesn't take time. Either connect your bank or credit account with your paypal account and let them add/subtract few cents to confirm everything.
