I've gained a lot of good knowledge from here so thought I would give back some behind the scene knowledge about what goes on at facebook/instagram my knowledge is in content/accounts I dont know anything about ads because i never worked in any of those teams.

I wont be disclosing exactly where I was working, how much I was making or any other sensitive info that could potential expose me .

Go!

What was your job at FB?
What's your professional background?

OK

What's your favorite color?

Do you repent from all your sins at FB?

Blue is my favourite colour

I didn't commit any sins but it did suck having to shutdown someones account down sometimes

My job was in operations

I have a bachelors in computer science/business and now work for a tech start up

I dont work at FB anymore so I wouldnt be able to show any real proof and even if I could i wouldn't want to reveal my identity due to NDA's etc

Why did you leave?
What did you like about working there and what not?
Any tips for the application process?

Job was boring and honestly not that good believe it or not at least in operations.

Office/perks was crazy had never experienced anything like that before working at FB so that was probably one of the best things and also my salary was good for the amount of work as doing in general. What i didn't like was that towards the end there was too much micromanagement which sucked. And obviosuly because I was working in operations you could imagine what i was seeing :anyway:

Application process depends on what team and where you are planning to work but my general advice if you want to work at FB is to have someone you know working at FB helping you use them as referral, I've literally seen people pull strings/bat behind the scenes so their friend/relative whatever get's employed. Also another thing that helps is coming from a faang type tier company because generally all these faang companies like to hire people with a specific profile so if you have worked at google or amazon you can easily work at FB. If you are in college try applying for an internship that way if you are able to land the internship you might potentially get a return offer(a lot of people who are at FB are former interns). Lastly you could work as a contractor and hope and pray you one day become FTE.

Lol. I call BS on this thread.
Facebook is nothing special it's pretty much like any other company difference is it's a famous company nothing else and it's not like i'm claiming to be mark zuckerberg or know everything about FB/instagram like i said my knowledge is in accounts/content nothing else. If you have any questions that you want answered and i know the answer I will let you know

Any advice you could give someone to grow their page or group more quickly, that may not be known?

There is no "secret formula" to growing your account not organically that i know of at least. Anyone who claim they know is not telling the truth or is using third party software to do so which is very risky because if your accounts get hacked/banned you will never get it back unless you are a verified with a lot of followers and live in a small country let's say Bulgaria and have enough influence in the country that country that it get's a lot of traction in the news then maybe you will get your account back because believe it or not FB hates bad press.

If you want to use third party software i would say you would be better off using burner accounts on separate device(you dont want to have a legit account associated to a device which you use for burner accounts) and somehow directing your followers or whatever to your main account

What salary you get post taxes? Sweden has like 50-60% tax rate. Do not answer this question if you find it personal:)
Never worked for FB in Sweden im just from there also in general salaries are not that high in operations. in fact salaries in general for FB in europe are lower compared to compared to the US. if you want to make real money you would have to work in the US even better if it's in one of the engineering teams because they make $$$£££.

Also it's just not about the base salary at FB it's about total compensation so stocks sign on bonus etc

Does FB staff monitor BHW?

I personally never monitored BHW and cant speak for other employees however FB does work reactively and proactively meaning that any trend that is noticed by the employees (There is actually sometimes real people working tickets)is brought up and gets discussed and if it's a trend that negatively impacts the platform or any other users it will quickly become a bannable offence if it already wasn't. So let's say someone here finds a way to fake a id/passport to verify accounts that have been flagged as fake or whatever if the FB employee starts seeing a lot of accounts that are flagged as fake are using a specific ID as verification and has a feeling its not fully legit etc that specific ID will stop working as verification.

Perhaps @2020vision can speak for Facebook but I know that both Snapchat & TikTok staffers lurk here.

See my reply to @tubeboost above but yeah in general it would not surprise me if Snapchat and Tiktok lurk here because i would assume like FB employees they have to stay ontop of trends so this forum is the perfect place to see what people are doing that breaks the community guidelines and also how to stop them.

Go!

Thank you. I understand that you can't disclose a lot of details, for obvious reasons. However, you surely understand that without some kind of proof, it is just an anonymous account posting things.

Most ex-FAANG employees provide some kind of proof before starting threads like this on forums or on Twitter.

Will you be able to provide some kind of proof? Maybe an id card with name obscured? Or an email chain of the past where your company email id is visible, with the first part obscured?
