How did this happened suddenly?

Ok, so I was looking to YouTube channels for the last 7 days, and I came across channels that do Among Us compilations. Before doing them, they had a few hundred views or maybe a thousand, but after the first among us video they had over 4M Views, and my question is HOWW???? How can a channel with 500-1k subs to make a 4m video and gain 4M views, and that's video after video. I saw too many channels growing up to the sky in such a short time with among us. I tried to do the same with a 1 year old youtube account, I have 4 videos posted in 4 days and I got little to no views on video( the best one has 15 views). It is my content, my editing, all is mine, I did my research and everything but nothing... How they did it in the first place?

Yeah I see this all the time in multiple gaming niches. There are multitude reasons. Either they are boosting their views, either they are lucky, or they are channels owned by larger creators making profit channels. But I see these channels all the time

I don't think so, they are gaining 5k subs every day, plus the content before among us is just normal content, other compilations or other things. I can give you a channel name in private If you want but I can say that it may be pure luck.

I don't think a 14 year old can either boost his views or own a large youtube creating business. I think is just pure luck by doing it at the perfect time.

They started making this videos when among us was going viral. Some very cool clips and reactions from streamers played a big part on going viral as these channels were using their names to get the boost. Thats it, end of story. I have seen such channels myself thats why i am so sure.

True, lol. I've seen small channels that upload better content than the ones who got blessed by the algo but they got low views and subs because they didn't get lucky enough. People only notice the ones that become extremely popular but seem to forget that there are a lot of creators that upload the same if not better content but they don't get noticed. But yeah, if you keep uploading and have good content and thumbnails it's impossible not to drive traffic as eventually the channel will gain traction and authority
