Do No-Follow Backlinks count for Referring Domains

It's no longer a secret that referring domains is an important ranking factor.

I have seen several threads where people say they have ranked well above their competitors by increasing the number of referring domains.

Do no follow backlinks count for referring domains

Say I like 50 backlinks - 30 follow and 20 no-follow

my referring domains is 30 or 50.

I believe it is 50, all domains are counted in RD, but this may vary depending on the service provider (which will all have different RD anyway).

Additionally you can check the percent do-follow backlinks, which should be reasonable (not too low or high).

You will not rank by blindly increasing a number of referring domains.

Referring domains are merely a statistic. A rule of thumb. A number. They do not speak about the quality of the backlinks whatsoever.

You can have thousands of crappy referring domains and yet, I will outrank you with 10.

All in all, yes, n0follow links are counted into referring domains. It doesn't matter whether the link is d0follow of n0follow, it refers to your site.

Thank you. I know, quality is what more important. I am looking to create some web 2.0 links and outnumber so those sites which are getting over 2k traffic with 10 low-quality backlinks.

Yes they still count and they could actually benefit SEO, natural element of nofollow links helps improve your trust flow, which can have a positive effect on your rankings.

Not all links are created equal. Just as others above have pointed out, a backlink profile with diversity makes it more natural.

Google knows getting forum links, web 2.0 links etc is much easier compared to an earned link, where your content is of such merit that some stranger in the blogosphere links back to you. This is the highest quality link you can "earn" due to the merit of your content.

If you google about nofollow backlinks, there are SEO professionals in the past who have conducted experiments by "buying" a nofollow backlink from a high DA site and have seen their rankings to page 1.

In this day of machine learning algorithms driving Google, links will have a certain amount of value going forward. It is not going to be the end game.

From quantity standpoint, no follow gets counted too. But, it doesn't mean you can get lots of spammy nofollow backlinks.
Doesn't matter if it is do follow or no follow, link juice flows if you are getting it from a quality domain.

Even they No follow links lacks value as that of Do follow ones but they too are the backlinks... so their referring domains are also considered.............................
