Backlink Analysis Method

Is there a decent piece of software that allows you to get a list of all the inbound links to a URL and to check the PR of each page containing the inbound link?

The following 3 services get mentioned a lot in BHW but none work that well in my opinion:

1. check-backlink.com/cgi-bin/bl-checker.pl. isnt working of late and in any case I found it buggy to use.
2. backlinkwatch.com. is slow and doesnt tell you the PR of the inbound link
3. SEO Quake firefox plugin. I like SEO Quake but I can only use it with a Google search. Therefore you are limited to (a) 100 results per page, and (b) it only shows the inbound links that Google lists which we all know is only a fraction of the total number of inbound links.


Any suggestions of better tools?


I'd be happy to pay for a piece of software that can do what I need it to do.

But the problem with it, and many similar tools is your pulling from Yahoo and can only get 1,000 URL's.. So to get more, you have to monkey around a bit.

I still use backlinkwatch.

Why?

Because it shows if the links pass anchor text. Yahoo site explorer does not include this critical information as far as I have seen.

(Check-backlink.pl is great but it never works)

I don't need to see PR because when I find a linkdrop page, I do a site: search in Google and run seoquake to find all the high PR pages. You never know what gems you're missing out on if you ignore a linkdrop site just because your competitor was too lazy to look for the juiciest pages.

You dont need all backlinks neither. I found out that the best results are habitually in the first results.

One of the best tools I know of - CS Yazzle. It pulls out backlinks from Yahoo, Google, AltaVista and Alexa. You can also export the results to Excel.

the above tool tells you also about the anchor text and shows its variations.it also gives the PR of the link and shows whether the link is ******** or nofollow.try it and tell me if its good.

I think now the biggest problem to overcome is that Google will often ban your IP when you are aggressively requesting PR of sites.

Has anyone found effective ways around this problem?

I already PMed you about this. I created a software that let you request unlimited PR everyday...

My favorite is the free version of WebCEO. I run it everyday for all my sites. It's amazing how many powerful features the free version has. Google it!
