Need To Win Paypal Dispute Digital Item??

Guys I just got completely ripped off on a script doesnt work at all and all the support email addresses bounced. I paid with paypal but I need to get my money back for this thing. I Never do this but there is literally no support and it fails. How can I do this with paypal not covering digital items. This was not off an ebay listing it was off the site itself.

Please help me out on this.

Have you already filed for the dispute? I think you can file for disputes for items bought using paypal

If the source of your funds is your Paypal balance there is nothing that Paypal will do for you. If the source of you funds through Paypal was a credit card, just do a chargeback dispute through the credit card.

Paypal usually sides with buyers on these thing but with digital items/services they really don't do as much. Since you didn't use a CC, it is going to be harding doing a chargeback.

I don't know how much the item was but you may be out of luck. Paypal seems to do more for item not received as opposed to not as described so you may wanna fudge and say you never got the item but...

Winning a charge back from PP for digital items is almost impossible, PP requires you to have some sort of evidence or tracking number for them to follow up, which you don't because it was a digital item, however, if you really want to screw the seller, report his listing to Ebay, it's against their rules to sell digital items unless it's listed through a classified ad!.

You know, I think if you file a dispute you most proably win in it anyway because Paypal always takes side of the buyer, even if it's digital product...it's pain in the ass for sellers.

Because there're scammers who eg. buy your software and then 2 days later you get a dispute - for example they claim "Unauthorized Transaction" and there's not much seller can do if it's a digital item, unless he shipped the product on CD and mailed too.

All depends on how you dispute and how knowledgeable the seller is. I've heard it both ways that paypal sides with the buyer/seller. However it seems like if the seller replies in the dispute that the purchase is a digital item you are pretty much screwed.

From the start:

Open dispute - DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT escalate to a claim.

Before it is raised to a claim the seller has a chance to respond. As long as you put enough information in your first email to the seller that explains everything out clearly saying that the product was not fit for purpose, the product was incomplete etc then that's ok up to there.

IF the seller does not reply you have got a massive one up on them and the chances are that you will win. If they reply then you must play it from there on what they say.

Worst comes to worst do a chargeback but don't expect to use your PP account again if you do this.

Well I was just describing situation that I've had - buyer said to Paypal "Nah, it wasn't me who bought this" I got Unauthorized Transaction claim and had to refund money.

First thing first FILE THE DISPUTE! You will either get a response from seller to fix the script, or you will get your money back from PP. Take some action! Go to PP hit the "File a Dispute" button, the longer you wait makes it looks like you are trying to scam!

I sell digital goods - domains and I cannot tell you the amount of times I get scammed from domain buyers.

They purchase several domains (terrible ones too) and then they say the transaction was not authorized and win the dispute.

I lost nearly $1,000 in domains this year because of this and then I finally consulted with people on how to get this to stop.

Edit: Just want to let you guys know that those domain buyers do not have the domains since I took them away, they didn't pay for them so why should they own the domain.

I tried an unauthorized transaction when Kriss ripped me off for articles.

got a response that it was a typical transaction for my account, so I lost.

thought I might loose my account when I ripped them to shit in the survey they provide in a few days.
