I think i'm not the only one who have this problem while uploading videos on Youtube.
At first when I upload videos on YT the traffic is A LOT ( I do only uploading without rating/view increasing) but after some 2days it drops to almost zero..

Before a year when I was uploading videos the traffic the rest of the days stayed in the same level as in first day and it stayed there stable - I know because till this moment I have like 3k uniques/day from YT from the videos I upload almost year ago - So there must be something wrong with the newly uploaded videos.

If anyone Have had this problem and have got a solution that the traffic doesn't dies after those 2days I will pay you $100 paypal if your way works!

the traffic in the beggining comes from the "recently uploaded" section in youtube. all new videos show up here and a lot of people check it.

now when you say it "dies" do you mean that you really get absolutely NO traffic gains from your videos? I lose about 50% of traffic after the first couple of days or so but thats it....after that I still maintain a steady stream of traffic.


when I get the odd video that goes viral or gets the "exclusive youtube featured" treatment I have a good boost in traffic for some time until a competitor flags it to death or its simple overtakin by another vid.

Im sorry but there are only 2 possible reasons for you situation.


A) your videos SUCK. too many of the same/recycled vids or your niche in vid marketing is just too saturated at this point.

B) your not uploading enough. the bigger your market (games,adult,music, etc) the more competition thus the more vids you need. things arent the same in every market as they were a year ago and a year before that and so on.

Well the traffic thing Changed totally overnight.
And the videos were good- as I still receive traffic from the old ones I uploaded.
It doesn't dies at all, but dies for like 95% !

old videos have more clout. I have old shitty vids that show up on the first page of a youtube search from a year ago. vids I though werent that great from the beggining get a lot of traffic now.

check your accounts make sure they arent getting banned. The only serious change in youtube that can fuck us over are the flash cookies. make sure you go to adobes site and clear them out via the setting manager in between account creation.


heres another trick. use one of your accounts and 5 star every vid with it. it gives a vid a "second chance" sort of and bumps it back up a bit so people can see it again.....if after that it drops dont waste time with it....people are just not interested.

ok lets back up a minute. are you getting views to these new vids and no traffic to your URL? or no views at all with the new vids (after a couple of days)?

how many vids do you upload per day?

I get normal views at first 2days, then it dies!
Doesn't makes a difference how much I'm uploading in the end after those 2days they are dead anyways.

All I can think of is the immense competition in every niche, be it SEO optimization, entertainment, sports, any tutorials. You see YT flooded with millions of videos of each type. Possibly another reason can be due to the content in your video...like if it is anything about affiliate marketing and the same video has been uploaded by someone else, it is obvious the video views will die soon.

may it is happening for honeymoon period. New videos bump to top for a short period and then after a certain period like 60 hours it vanishes from search. try to make the video title as long as possible and don't ping them using the direct url. Digg & ping the Digg url.

Maybe its this, you have 4 ways of looking on youtube.

This week
This Month
Forever

When they search for today and you uploaded your video that day it will get some hits.. that hits will make you get higher up in the weekly charts and those weekly hits will get you up in the monthly charts but i'm guessing your videos just get swallowed in the forever charts because youtube goes back like 3 or 4 years.

Thats my theory
