Due to the pandemic covid-19, many scheduled conferences are held online, and a few conferences are being canceled. How do you would like to compare attending an online presentation-based with an ordinary conference?

I can say that the most influential learning, sharing and inspiration plays out between people, not on a screen. Email might bring us close, and YouTube and Skype even closer, but still nothing like as close as meeting and interacting in person.

Shouldn't we be grateful to even have such a system?

If this outbreak had happened few decades prior, there's no way we could hold virtual meetings. In essence, I only see merit. People could fall back to their daily life as soon as they're done with conferences. It's like whole world transitioning to an IMer lifestyle
