Can Cloudflare make worst SEO?

Maybe is me that I'm getting paranoid but I have a believe, every time that I use siteground = websites are going to rank faster and overall SEO is better. If i'm going with VPS+Cloudflare the speed is faster but everything look, in my eyes, slower and SEO too.

So I started to make search of main websites ranked with ton of first pages and none of them is having ISP = Cloudflare. Everyone having indeed amazon ISP, what kind of VPS offer amazon and where?

You think i'm getting paranoid or someone notice too?

Good but to use cloudflare will makes sense too or no? Because VPS for example contabo that I really like, i try to make a lot of search but no any ISP contabo is first on google. All not much ranked, maybe first 10 but no one first.

Just because within your few searches you didn`t find a VPS hosted website ranking, it doesn't mean a thing. I know quite a few that do rank, I know quite a few that work with cloudflare and still rank.. there is no point for a speed optimization service to ruin your website, nobody would use them..

Im using Contabo + Cloudflare. Everything is just fine.. man. Unless they're setting GSA to negative SEO your website, I don't see how they would...even.. affect you? xD

You're paranoid for sure. Cloudflare is fine and for most websites, it will actually improve the speed and make them faster. Not to mention you save bandwidth, have lower hosting costs and Cloudflare is free.

Cloudflare help you to hide your original IP, is making many copies of your websites on all continents and many cities around the world...to deliver a copy of your website very fast...so In my opinion is increasing your website speed...also some help with ddos and etc.

About speed there are few issues witch I saw on 99% websites...many use frameworks because is easy to build an website but these are a nightmare.
If you choose to use wordpress, is even worst.

My suggestion is to have a pure html,css and pure JS(last one can be optional or just few lines)
Add css inline directly on .html/.php file....and here are 2 ways :
- you can add all css on the begining of the html code, just before to close </head> tag.
- or you can add it in parts (css for header than the structure, inside the header you can add css for navigation too...than css for body and structure, inside you can have sections and etc...until you finish with the footer.

Why so much work? Because when SERP bot arrive on your website and start reading from top to bottom, you must offer him an easy way to do it.
Having many css and js libraries this bot must open all of then to render your page, witch take time because these have many lines and you only use a small % from them...even worst if these are not even hosted by you.

If you want to be even smart, use AMP

i have so many seo website which are setup on Cloudflare and the ranking was at its peak. Cloudflare makes the website speedy and the site speed is one of the main factor of SEO.

I've heard this numerous times before, some people had their site tank when swapping to Cloudflare nameservers. My guess is that they got the same nameservers as, say, porn sites or similar (as you share with others). But who knows.

I use Cloudflare sometimes and haven't noticed any difference personally.

Cloudflare + Fast SSD VPS should be good. You're having a selection bias based on the brand power of Siteground.
SEO is not affected as long as you configure them properly and the page load happens fast.

Where does that knowledge come from?

After testing I concluded that Cloudflare made my website more slowly. Most important is good and fast hosting. Cloudflare adds an extra layer to your website. It can be nice for high bandwidth websites or websites with a lot of attacks. But I think for most websites Cloudflare will not help anything.

I have a VPS with Lightspeed and tested with and without Cloudflare. Without Cloudflare the website was faster.

I also didn't see much of caching from Cloudflare. I noticed that after enabling Cloudflare I still saw the page requests in my sever logfiles. Maybe Cloudflare caches your page when you get hundreds of pageviews a second. But for websites with fewer visitors there is not much caching. With every pageview Cloudflare gets the page from your server, making things more slowly. You are better off with fast hosting and a good and paid CDN.

It is easy to see what is happening. Enable Cloudflare. Look at the log file of your server. Load a page of your website and you will see that Cloudflare first requests the page from your own server and shows it to the visitor after that. Than repeat. And repeat, and repeat. I was never able to view a page on my website without seeing Cloudflare requesting the page in my log file. No caching at all.

That is with the free version of Cloudflare. Maybe the paid version is better?

You're paranoid without a doubt. Cloudflare is fine and for most websites, it will really improve the speed and make them quicker. Also you spare data transfer capacity, have lower facilitating expenses and Cloudflare is free.
