I have a 6 month old website, with over 200 referring domains (Profile + comments backlink that I built) but I don't get up to 10 clicks daily. Does it mean goo gle abandons profile and comment backlink.

My competitors built profile link and did a 301 redirect with expired domain that has 3 backlink on 3 top media websites and they are getting thousands of clicks daily. I tried expired domain but the backlink are not showing on Google search console.
Please what am I doing wrong?

Maybe your competitors are hiding some powerful backlinks.

I don't think google is ignoring those links cause I have a website that only has 100+ profile backlinks and a few .edu backlinks and it's been ranking on pages 2-3 of google for 2 months now. Haven't touched the site in 2-3 months and it's still there. It's also possible that my site is having good internal linking and good silo-ing structure, so this might help with the rankings, as well. But I still don't think that the profiles (especially high quality profiles like I have) don't count in google.

How many links do you build daily. I built the 300 backlinks in a week. Google search console picked all of them in a day. And, TBH my niche is very competitive.

I don't think so, Focus on legit and relevant site can add value. I suggest to try other types of quality links and diversify the backlink profile.
Thanks for your reply. Also, my niche very competitive

Nowadays these types of backlinks are less powerful to google. Try to publish new fresh content with low competitive keyword do properly on-page then wait a few days and see the result. A few days later you can try to gain some links with guest blogging where you can get some powerful links that Google loves.

No, you are probably not yet out of your sandbox page. Just target low competition long tail keywords initially and start building powerful outreach links or niche edits or guest posts to complement your profile/blog comment links.

I don't build links daily. I purchased those backlinks 3 months ago here on BHW, they got delivered one week later and since then my site stays put on page 2 for one keyword, and page 3 for another keyword. Both keywords are pretty shitty (low search volume), but this shows that profile links CAN move rankings, so they're still worth something if your site has good internal structure (good internal linking + silo structure) and targets low competition keywords

Get some decent links, not just forum and profile comment links. You also need guest posts, & PBN.
