Hi, friends! Does anyone here doing M/F from their main account? I noticed that following from my main acc is more effective in gaining followers and finding new customers, so I wanted to add this too, while I used MS strategy only. So is it would be safe to follow less than 200 a day?
Does mass following hurt stats?

My engagement stayed the same until I opted for a business account. Even after reverting back to a personal account my engagement is no where near what it was and my likes come in so much slower.
Used to get 100+ likes in a few hours, now I get 100+ likes in 24 hours.

So mass following didn't affect on your reach? Only switching to business account hurted it?
Exactly, even getting action blocked didn't affect reach for me. Just make sure you stay within 500 actions a day. I like to do only 200 followings and 200 unfollowings. Anytime I have surpassed 500 altogether I get a block.
Thank you for answering! I've been getting blocks before, then stopped doing mf and didn't notice any drastic changes too, at some points it got even worse

The amount of actions you can safely perform depends on what Instagram thinks is a normal amount for you. Don't jump from 20 actions per day to 200. Slowly scale up the amount you are doing from day to day instead of trying to apply a universal answer.

IME following unfollowing only affects you through actual penalties, it's not factored into the reach algorithm.
As others pointed out, reach is related to commercial intent. Once they sense commercial intent your organic reach is gone forever.

Safety for your main account would be to randomize your action numbers each day ; i wouldn't recommend to go over 180-200 L/F/U per day at a warmed-up state. To reach those numbers, a dedicated slow warm-up is necessary.
Of course, good proxies (or keep this one on your phone) = mandatory
