Ok, straight to the point: I have $300 to drop in a crypto. I have successfully narrowed it down to this two: uni or link. Any reason why I should go with your suggestion? Dont advise me because u chill the bags but instead, advise because it is what it is

No one is going to shill bags if you're dropping $300 lol. I would go with Chainlink. One of the best possible alts in Crypto. Real use case, amazing team, great connections, and one of the strongest coins in the market for the last 2.5 years. I mean, you missed the boat haha as 2018 was the time to accumulate, but it's as safe a play as you can find in Crypto.

Lol

Anyways I definitely missed it in 2018 as I dislike 'unknown' alts, I prefer to go with fairly established ones. At 12$/token, is link not over priced now? Shouldn't I wait for it to go down a bit?

Out of curiosity, what other one coin would you look at (apart from btc, eth, ltc) ?

Depends on how long you want to keep the position open. Link is good now, but in 1-2 years it will be worth a few cents

Few cents? Why do you say so? I thought everyone is gunning for $link ?

I have no idea what will happen in the short term with the markets. During the bull runs in the past it's typical for btc to have 30% corrections here and there, but then up we go again, and we're definitely in a bull market. Dips are for buying in a bull market.

My sell target for link this bull run is $100, but it can def go higher. It's hard to say if any crypto is overpriced right now, as most are speculation, though link is one of the few with a current working product. The other thing is smart contracts are one of the biggest reasons crypto will be successful, and they will need Oracles to connect to offline data to connect, and link is the clear cut winner in the Oracle sector. You have a couple of others like band, but link is by far the industry standard. By a long shot.

Don't listen to the guy above, either. Link won't be worth a few cents lol. But I'm also riding the bull run out and then selling my holdings near the peak and then reinvesting. I'm not looking to hold my current bags for a decade. Amazon went from $1 to $100 in a years time and then back to $10 the following year and it took like 7-8 years to reach $100 again. Granted, tech moves a hell of a lot faster now, but I'd rather play the cycles.

Other alts I like and personally hold are Ren (second favorite after link), ocean, rsr, red fox labs (huge upside potential), aave and a few others. Ultimately though it's your own decision. Like I said if you want safety go with btc or eth. Just stay patient.

for me it's better choose Link, many whales are in control of this coin and hold well when btc moves, so i think it's a safe bet

Thanks for giving a comprehensive explanation. I'll consider link and set a buy order at $11 and another at $7 then $2. I hope it doesn't dip so much but as u said, a pullback in a bullrun is expected besides the obvious fact that crypto is largely unpredictable. Also, u made mention about smart contracts making crypto successful; let's talk about ethereum.

If for any case ethereum becomes a failed project or became worthless or say priced at one cent per eth, dont you think other token built on ethereum will definitely become worthless too? That's why I fear for link and other crypto built on ethereum.

Sure, if you want to put it that way, then yes, obviously Crypto as a whole could fail, but I highly doubt it will. You just go take a look at the institutions that have come into the space this year (and even in the past) and see how much money they're investing. There are many other reasons why, but following the money is all you really need to do. Smart contracts, and the Blockchain as a whole, can (and will) improve every industry.

I don't think link will ever hit $2 again. Even if there was for some reason a crazy panic sell off in the markets like in March I think at $4-5 people would be unloading like crazy buying it.

Both. 50/50. Link will explode right after the big ones.

I don`t think LINK will go under $10. I even think it will skyrocket soon so added some to my portfolio a few days ago. (Just my opinion)

I have no idea about UNI hence I am not commenting about that.

Believe me link will see $2 again as btc will deff see 5k$. If there's anything I have learnt over the past years is that when it comes to the market, sh*t happens. Anyways, I'll put ur advice to heart

Any other coin you keeping?

if you think it will pullback then i suggest you go to binance and buy linkdown token, if you are right by the time it reaches $7 you have already made 60% profit and then you cash out and buy link or linkup token to go long.

I will personally go for Link since I haven't accumulated it. One concern why I didn't do is huge whales allocation. They won't dump all at one time but cannot rule out that possibility.

UNI had the best distribution based on wallet trade. Yes, people could have earned heavily from trading with multiple wallets (not me). But, they used the platform as an early user and provided some use for the platform devs.

That's a huge concern for link. It's a disadvantage. After some research, I won't be going for UNI either. Can you tell me other cheap token you think will worth hodling long-term?
